  1. United States University here in San Diego is a for profit school. Worse educational decision I ever made going there. They have the worst nclex pass rates out of all the schools in San Diego. Right now they are on probation and pleading with the BRN to allow them to receive a cohort. My opinion - run away from all for profit schools as you are just a walking dollar sign $ to them. RUN!!!
  2. Resume purposes only.
  3. United States University (USU) here in San Diego is a for profit school that is not accredited by the CCNE. No hospital here would hire their new graduates. It also has the lowest NCLEX pass rates in San Diego. Again do your research before you make your final decision.
  4. I would also stay away from United States University (USU). That school has low NCLEX pass rates and doesn't take care of their students. 1000% for profit school. Stay away from this place like the plague.
  5. Hands down the funniest thing I read. LoL. NCLEX is NCLEX in all 50 states. Study...study...study!!!
  6. Yup...if your in California...get a BSN. It's getting harder and harder to get a job with an ADN. I graduated with a BSN and a couple of my friends who graduated with an ADN says it excruciating finding a job now as they have to compete with all the BSN applicants and job requirements. When I graduated I was quickly able to get into a new graduate program. JMHO it's more based on the hospital requirements.
  7. If you passed you should not get the repeat/reapply examination option. Your status on breeze should change to pending.
  8. Taking the nclex wasn't bad .... It's all the anxiety leading to it and depression after that sucks. You begin to be your own worst enemy.
  9. If you live in California - BSN. Imagine not being able to apply for positions that require a BSN. You'll be regretting it....
  10. I waited 5 weeks. Call the BON.
  11. Anything above 50% on uworld your fine. If you can try to get the Mark Klimek audios that are floating around. Those audios are golden as he teaches test taking skills. His SATA and delegation audios are golden and will help you decide what to choose when the harder questions start popping up.
  12. Which state are you taking your nclex?
  13. Killer nclex pass combo - Kaplan and Uworld. Don't worry about the percentages. Just learn why you got them wrong is key. I swear I had 25 questions similar on my nclex.
  14. I took ATI all throughout nursing school and my predictor. The first 2 students in my cohort took nclex solely with ATI with a 95% passing predictor. They both failed. After hearing that I dropped ATI and did uworld. I passed and now have a new grad position. Btw the two who failed had to wait three more months to take nclex again.
  15. ATI is a big waste of time jmho. We had more nclex failures solely studying ATI versus using uworld or Kaplan. People said it didn't prepare them as well as other resources.
  16. Mark Klimek and Uworld is all you will ever need to pass nclex.
  17. For profit schools are the bane of the BRN. Why they allow these schools to pop up is beyond me. I'll tell you this - good luck finding a job. In my area certain schools are looked down and their resumes discarded at the hospitals here. If it's a Magnet hospital - good luck. Most likely your going to find your job as a SNF.
  18. From the time you took your exam. Excludes holidays.
  19. Any updates? Who still hasn't received their results?
  20. bumpme replied to bsn2016''s topic in General Students
ATI = garbage lit on fire with kerosene filled with dog poop. In my cohort those who used ATI and had a 90+% pass predictor failed. Others who used Kaplan passed. ATI=low level questions and Kaplan=high level questions.
  21. Here's your study plan - do uworld, understand the rationales why you answered it wrong and listen to those audios. Do 100 questions a day and get off social media!!!
  22. United States University (USU) is another for profit school that churns out nurses with little to no tutelage. Stay away from this place like the plague!!!
  23. Pending means your still in the game for passing. It's a good sign and was accurate. Just remember they mail you the fail letters within the first two weeks. Anything after that it's a good assumption you passed. TheN Again it's not 100% accurate cuz, you know, it's the BRN. When they issue you a license the pending will disappear and on the top right you will have a license number next to your name. Crossing fingers for you.
