I agree. I attended SLU nursing school and did not have a pleasant experience. You learn nursing theory, which is mostly useless in the real world. I don't know anything about OLOL, but I know I was miserable at SLU. Good luck.

You could try to apply with the state of Florida. Go to the department of health website and you could apply online. Realize that the state pays less than the hospital, but the benefits make up for it.

I agree...I think some people become nurses for the money and do not realize what the profession truly entails. They don't have compassion or patience, so they don't put care into their nursing.

Shadow at both places. Go with the job that corresponds with your long-term goals...the hospital is the best place if you plan on becoming an NP. If not, the convent job may be great.
