  1. Hello all!! I took my NCLEX-RN on Friday 5/30/2014 and tried the PVT as soon as my test said delivery successful and got the "good pop up." I paid for my quick results on yesterday 6/1/2014 and found out that I passed!!!!!!!!:) Good luck to everyone who will be taking the NCLEX soon and congrats to everyone that has passed!!!!
  2. Hey!!! I start my last semester January 9th!!! 123 days until our pinning ceremony!!!
  3. If I was in your shoes I would try and talk to whoever hired you and see if you could miss the orientation because the first day, in my opinion, is very important. When I was taking my pre-requisites I started a new job and I didn't have to do the 2 days of orientation since I talked with the lady that hired me. So it's worth a shot. But I definitely wouldn't tell the school that you were missing a day to attend orientation for a job.
  4. 1 final left for this summer session and then I will be starting semester 4 of 5 August 22nd!! Hope everyone is doing well in their programs.
  5. Hi I'm currently enrolled to get my associates degree in nursing and I work full time. It all depends on you and what you can handle. If I didn't have to work full time I definitely wouldn't do it. I work in the minor emergency department which is kind of like urgent care at my hospital. But I've managed to have a B average and am about to start my 4th of 5 semesters. So I know if I didn't have to work full time I could dedicate more time to school and have an A average probably. But think long and hard about it and good luck with your decision and nursing school!
  6. Congratulations!!!!! I hope to be in your shoes this time next year!!
  7. Congratulations!!

I'm not a coffee drinker at all but it sounds like coffee may be my best friend when I start nursing school in August.
  11. I've heard a lot of people say it depends on the person and how organized you are. I don't have any kids but I plan to work full time when I start my nursing courses in the Fall.
  12. I'm really excited and nervous too. I've already completed my physical, background check, drug screen and CPR. Now I just have to wait until orientation on July 11th. :)
