  2. TURN OFF HER PAGER!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT I WOULD THINK THAT IS VERY ILLEGAL..AND ALSO A THREAT FOR WHERE YOU WORK..IF SOMEONE NEEDED HER ASSISTANCE AND SHE HAS THAT OFF I WOULD CONSIDER IT AN EASY LAWSUIT...SLOW..I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU ARE TAKING TIME AND RIGHT OUT OF ORIENTATION THAT TO ME IS UNDERSTANDABLE..TO IMMITATE A COWORKER..THAT IS VERY DEMEANING TO THE WORKER INVOLVED. I WOULDNT CARE IF HER FAMILY IS DR'S I WOULD WRITE UP THIS BEHAVIOR...ESP. THE PAGER SINCE YOU ARE AWARE WOULDNT YOU BE PART TO BLAME THINK ABOUT IT THAT COULD BE VERY SERIOUS............

  8. How wonderful that must have been for you!!!!! I had a resident who always told me to say hi to her family (from heaven) and she always said her husband was right by the door under a light that is on the ceiling I always looked and said hi and she always squeezed my hand.........Not to long ago she joined her husband and the first time I worked after when I walked in the room the light blinked several times.........Thinking it was a bad light I kept working..And it stopped on my way out...The light blinked again so I looked up and said hello the light stopped I had such a peaceful feeling then and now whenever I think of her...

When I Went Back To School I Was 37 I Was Pinned At 43 And Felt So Very Proud Of Fulfilling A Life Time Dream Now If I Hadn't Gone Back To School I Would Still Be Wondering, Instead..i Have A Wonderful Job Have Met Many Wonderful People. Go For It And All Of My Best Remember Life Experience Itself Means So Very Much..so You Are A Step Ahead..
  16. All Of Us In The Medical Field (and Other Fields As Well) Have To Realize We Are Only Human And Must Set Our Limits. Had You Stayed, What Good Would It Do Frustration I Am Sure. I Applaud You And Wish You All Of The Best. It Wasn't An Easy Decision And I Am Sure Something Positive Will Happen Actually It Already Has You Put Yourself First...good Luck And God Bless

  20. i Just Read Your Post And Want To Tell You To Hang In There....first Off Dealing With Childhood Abuse Is Very Difficult, And You Have Started To Release The Anger...that Is Very Healing And Be Sure And Take Time For Yourself...even If It Is Just 5 Minutes....actually You Can Turn That Situation Around Someday And when You Are A Nurse Help Children Or Adults Deal With The Same....i Wish I Could Be There To Help You Thru School Don't Give Up On Yourself Dont Worry About A None Support Dad Even Though The Courts Are In Your Favor.......be Yourself You Sound Very Strong There Are Courses Just One At A Time And Soon You Will Be Thru. I Cant Change Your Mom But You Have A Dream Stick With It I Went Back To School At 35 To Become A Nurse And Love Every Minute Of It Look In The Mirror And Tell Yourself You Can Do It..look At Your Children They Will Be So Proud Of You All Of My Best And Keep In Touch With The Board...
  21. Recently Read That They Want To Make It Legal For Extra Staff To Also Pass Some Medications Due To The Nursing Shortage. I Find This Rather Scarey. About 8 Years Ago I Was Working And A Cna Came To Me And Said A Pt Was To Tired To Go To Lunch So She Was Going To Let Her Sleelp Awhile More..as I Entered The Room I Found The Pt. Going In To Diabetic Shock Symptoms Were Very Obvious To The Trained Nurse. I Realize There Is A Nursing Shortage And Rn's Are Becoming Very Involved With More And More Responsibilities...........lpn's Are Vital And Are Recieving More And More Education........lets Hope This Is Realized To Many Lives Would Be At Risk...
  22. although I Didnt Go Back To School Until I Had Teenagers It Is Very Stressful...as You Learn In School One Of The Most Important Things Is To Prioritize (sp) If A Child Is Very Demanding Sometimes Even A Half Hour Of Full Attention Will Benefit And Satisfy Their Needs..give Them And Activity In Which They Think They Are Helping You Works Too. I Remember One Of Our Daughters Stating "if You Would Just Stop And Play One Game Of Cards It Would Be Fun" That Was A Real Eye Opener For Me........and I Made It A Habit...good To Have Some Time For Fun....school Is Very Important And Soon You Will Be Working With Your Degree.....but Your Child (children) Will Be That Much Older...great Idea, If Possible, To Ask A Family Member Or Close Friend For Help..all Of My Best..........
