CE Brokers
Why does MQA require that FL nurses submit their CEUs to CEBrokers prior to applying for license renewal? Aren't they just some middleman? License renewal used to be a 1-2-3 process. Now it is complicated process.

May I suggest that you try out Utilization Review nurse position where you do not need to do bedside nursing but rather deal with the insurance companies and physicians?

Dumbest thing a doctor has done/said to you
This M.D. once gave me an order to, "Continue same medications that the patient is taking at home." We almost ended up at the Arbitration Board of the hospital.

Is it true all nurses get MRSA or C-DIFF?
Hand-sanitizers are a false sense of security. This myth that these products sanitize our hands has been vigorously "hysterisized" (I know there is no such word) by the duo Mr. Proctor & Mr. Gamble.

Abandonment if I don't pick up over time shifts??
Ohio LPN, not being uncommon does not mean that it is legal or acceptable. We used to have slavery, segregation, and apartheid in this world and they were not uncommon either. So please don't bring up such arguments, "that it is not uncommon in LTC" which tantamount to agreement if not endorsement.

Behavioral health
I have been a registered nurse for almost 2 decades; psychiatry has been me forte. Over the years, varies terminologies have been used for the field of Psychiatry, especially when referring to the nursing unit specializing in Psychiatry. Nothing irks me more than it being termed "behavioral health" May be I am reading into it, but for me it embodies a negative connotation as if the patients had a behavioral issue. Someone please help me understand this term.
