  1. I would say option 2 , when your in nursing your going to have no time... and 2 days a week thats crazy I dont think you'll have time for all your school work.. you need atleast a few hours each weekday and one weekend day! hope i helped
  2. I go to Langara, I'm pretty sure they dont have any course outlines onlline..but you can try As for the clinical portion, you have a hospital tour, a shadow visit with someone in the later terms and a nurse.
  3. lol i wish sigh*
  4. welll if you reallydont see yourself as a nurse i dont think you should do it what gets me through school is being excited about being a nurse in 2 years, i dont think i could get through school any other way. PERIOD. its hard but if its not somehting you want to do dont do it, this is going to be something oyur doing 4-5 days a week 8 and 12 hour shifts you dont want to be miserable going to work for the rest of your life , do soemthing you want good luck :) hope i helped!
  5. maybe an ipad for the apps:) and convience
  6. dont need it but if you can afford it i would say it go for it!!! its so convinient, there some awesome apps...goodnotes, evernotes, davis drug guilde etc. ...and you can take it everywhere and its so light
  7. i would say do A&P it does help, and if you can do pathphysiology that is totally killer! i dont know about your school but for ours we had to do english and 2 electives so try getting that out of the way
  8. I would say have a laptop for researching and writing papers, unless your husband doesn't go on the laptop much it might be annoying, i mean ipads are awesome b/c there so convenient...its so light and if i ever need to check something at school its there, but its not necessary ...i have some good apps that I use often like good notes, ever note, davis drug guide etc. , i dont take my laptop to school it gets distracting... just use pen and paper....if your on a budget i'd say get a laptop and just your notebooks etc, i use a lot of stickys ever type ...big ones small ones medium size, ones that tab pages, put checklist on them, tab important slides, pages etc. im just in love and a million and 1 different color highlighters :) its just how you study best im a visual learner...hope I made some sense and helped a little bit!
  9. i feel spoiled but my parents are paying!
  10. Congrats!! and thanks for sharing:specs:
  11. we get a list of learning outcomes and from those I read that specific area and make notes from the learning outcomes, our teacher told us to do selective reading
  12. Im in my first semester of nursing , so bare that in mind...I dont have any clinical days yet, those start nxt term:) I spend about 4 hours everyday doing homework...but thats at home when I'm at the library I am far more productive.. and i need one full weekday, but when I go to the library I'd say that its about 3 hours per day and a full weekend day..I think its just b/c I haven't gotten into the groove so I'm hoping the next semesters are better...hope that helps :)
  13. I once told an RN i wanted to go into Nursing and she gave me a crazy look as well she tried to convince me to go into pharmacy I have no idea why:/
