IRSC Spring hopeful 2015
This is the only forum I've seen for Spring 2015. Anyone else getting anxious for letters? I know I am as the days go by!

Is this schedule doable? Thoughts please
It's absolutely doable, but you need to keep in mind that science courses involves A LOT of reading and studying. Definitely construct a reading schedule before the semester starts so you don't fall behind! Good luck!
-
is it possible?
It takes A LOT of studying and hardwork, but it is possible. Stay on track with reading, make flash cards (LOTS!), and try and find some people to study with. Taking multiple science courses at the same time takes a great deal of discipline!! Good luck with your decision!

Thinking of just giving up in need of advice
The best thing you can do right now is to sit down with a guidance counselor at your school and just talk about your options. Good luck!

NLN Exam vs. TEAS Exam
Hi everybody!! I took the NLN exam back in September and today I just signed up to take the TEAS exam in hopes of applying to a nursing college in Florida. Does anyone know how the NLN exam and the TEAS exam compare? I did pretty well on the NLN (97th percentile), but I have no idea how the TEAS exam will go!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!! :)

McGraw Hill vs ATI?! HELP!

Question about getting into UCF Nursing program.
You can purchase the official TEAS study manual through the ATI website. They have 2 options: only the manual ($44) or the manual plus 2 online practice tests ($88). I'm also applying to the UCF college of Nursing!!! Good luck to you :)

IRSC ADN Program Spring 2012
You can see the current book (for Fall 2011) list for Fundamentals of Nursing on the IRSC bookstore website. 21 books total (some required, some optional, and some recommended). On the Acceptance Response Form that we recieved with our acceptance letters it says that "admission into the program program is contigent among a completed physical examination form." So I'm guessing we need it done before the mandatory meeting.

IRSC ADN Program Spring 2012
Just took my NLN today and my final point total comes to 193 out of a possible 219. I'm missing Chemistry so I'm crossing my fingers that my score is good enough :) Anybody know what the cutoff point or average point total for people accepted to the program for Spring 2011?

IRSC ADN Program Spring 2012
Does anybody have any advice or tips for taking the NLN exam? I plan on taking it next week and felt that I've spent a great deal of time re-reading and taking practice tests. I've attended every tutoring session held by the ASC lab and and feel that I know the iformation well, but I'm starting to get test anxiety! Any advice is helpful!

Surviving and PASSING A&P
Read religiously, take extensive notes, and notecards, notecards, and more notecards!!! A&P requires ALOT of memorization and nothing helps like flipping through notecards and testing yourself. Good luck!!!!

IRSC ADN Program Spring 2012
Hello Everybody!! I'm applying for the 2-year ADN program (starting Spring 2012) and thought it would be helpful to start a thread and conversate with other ADN hopefuls! I have nearly all of the pre-reqs completed (except for Chemistry) with all A's and 2 B's, and I'm also currently studying like a mad woman for the NLN exam, which I will be taking in the next month or so.....It would be great to hear back from other applicants (and students already in the program) to see how my stats (and others) match up. Thanks and good luck :)
