Hey AllNurses! I've been on this site for awhile, stalking every post ever about the NCLEX. Lol. I took the test today, Saturday 6/21/2014 at 8am. I finished at 9:40am at 85 questions. As soon as I got in my car, I kept refreshing PearsonVue website ...
Thanks for clarifying that! I def did it after the tutorial, and while question #1 was on my screen. It just helped me to relax tremendously. And was glad I got a large dry erase board to write and doodle my thoughts and labs and motivational quotes....
Not good at all. But I did about 150 questions a day and learned tons from rationales. Qbank averaged 70 Qtrainer 1 :67 QTrainer 6: 57 I didn't do the readiness or the diagnostic tests.
Oh wow. Coulda been on that instruction/informational sheet. I was so nervous, I barely read it. I thought I was reading it, or tried to. And then when I sat back down, I tried to think about what the hell it said, I couldn't think of a single thing ...
Well guys. Sorry to hear that. We got palm veined scanned, and pockets turned in/out, the whole 9. They said we can write anything on our boards and if we needed another, to raise our hand and request another. No one mentioned anything about no "bra...
I found this prayer from someone on this site awhile ago, if you know the person, tag them. I tweaked it a little. But it helped me tremendously and I repeated it about 3x daily the week of my test: NCLEX Prayer! "Dear Loving Heavenly Father! I am so...
RunBaby, I too, felt like Kaplan was harder than the NCLEX. I felt like wait...I may be failing this bc the questions weren't extremely difficult. I just had to stop, breathe, and think through each answer. Of course it felt like I guessed on a few. ...
Good deal! I loved Kaplan. I got discouraged a little with my low QTrainer and QBank scores, but you really learn and take from the rationales. The Nclex lay out looks JUST like Kaplan. It's blue and everything. That really relaxed me. It's a familia...
Also, the PVT worked for me, but I'm sure that can be deduced from my recent posts. Lol. I just forgot to formally mention it. I got the "good pop up" 10 mins after my exam on Saturday 6/21/14. My name was on my states's board of nursing site today, ...
Hey Dibs, The only meds I studied were the ones listed in Hurst and the ones that I missed from Kaplan questions. I felt like I had about 10 med questions on my exam. They were either straight forward or I had no clue what it was. It's ok. The goal i...
Hey Dibs! You're exactly right! I never really felt prepared and I actually pushed my test back 3 days. I used exactly what you have. Kaplan and the hurst book and honestly, I only studied hardcore for about a week and half. I know they suggest 3 wee...
Lololol. All the things you have mentioned are true, but I'm sure when people are asking that question, it's more of an anxiety thing. They want to some how tally in their head the number of success stories with certain study materials. I've asked it...

Tinman, What do you think prepared you the most for the test? I'm studying Kaplan and Hurst and I still need to hit the PDA book. I take it soon. I'm nervous as ever. I have got to relax.
Oh ok!! Yes, you can still apply without having completed stats and micro. I don't have stats or psyc 202. I still need to take them while in the program. You just have to have those FIVE courses they require: engl, math, psyc, art/hum, and A&PI....
