  4. yes its to teach you how to think like a nurse. If a patient has a certain issue interventions you will perform for that patient, goals for that day, and outcomes so you know that you have or have not reached those goals...and to make you stay up till 2am the night before clinicals where they expect you to be AOx3 lol
  5. I only used it for my first semester then after that only one book was necessary
  6. I graduate in december and one book i will definately keep is called manual of critical care nursing it is awesome it has nursing interventions and really great explanations and lab values. the only prereq book i kept was an atlas from A and P
  7. cypress fairbanks medical center, they also have a sign on bonus for loan repayment
  8. for health assessment I would focus on abnormals and techniques for other classes like pharm i used Mosby's pharm memory notecards a huge help, and for fundamental a nclex study guide. I think a may have actually completely read maybe 3 whole chapters in any book throughout my entire program lol and Im in my last semester...just find a really good studyguide that corresponds with lectures and your book mine is saunders nclex-rn study guide
  9. to clarify when i say resident i mean the people who live there..it is a skilled nursing and rehab facility
  10. Im really excited because I have an interview for a nurse tech position on thursday the recruiter told me I would have 2 interviews one with the nurse manager and one with the residents. She said the residents ultimately make the decision as to if they want to work with me or not. has anyone ever interviewed with residents before? and if so what kind of questions do they ask and if not what kind of questions do you think they would ask? thanks for yalls help!
