Need some help from my fellow APNs - interviewing for hospitalist position....
I discovered this link: https://www.todayshospitalist.com/How-to-ace-the-job-interview-process/ It has some questions for interviewees to ask the interviewer about the position. I'll post the list of questions (you could ask them) here: -What is the daily census and number of patient encounters? -How many hospitals or other facilities does the program cover—and would you have to cover more than one? -What schedules do hospitalists work, and would you have a say in putting your schedule together? -What new services is the program planning on adding? -What kind of access do physicians have to specialists? -What kind of financial package does the program offer in terms of benefits and incentives? -Are there opportunities for part-time work? If you wanted more income, could you increase your number of shifts? -How involved are hospitalists in ICU duties and responsibilities? -How is the program managed, and who do the hospitalists report to? What is their involvement in decisions that affect them? -How are hospitalists received in the hospital? -Do the hospitalists act as a team, and how often do they meet?

Need some help from my fellow APNs - interviewing for hospitalist position....
Hi Core0, So does she need to have a W-2 or 1099 with the contract hospitalist group to bill? Would there be a difference in how she would bill if she were 1099 vs W-2? If so, what's the difference? I'm going through a similar hiring process (with a physician's group), and have questions about how the contracted hospitalist group (or physician's group) bills on behalf of an NP or MD.

Going from ANCC certification to AACN cert? Anyone?
Hi TraumaRUs, I have really learned and gained a lot from being part of AACN. I started off with earning the CCRN, and was encouraged by a very supportive local AACN chapter and by supportive unit managers. This peaked my learning, and I later earned my ACNP. I'm having to hold 2 certifications: (1) AACN's ACNPC-AG, and (2) ANCC's AGACNP-BC. I plan on maintaining both. I'm curious on your thoughts on holding 2 certifications. Would it be a long time coming until a good majority of states do recognize AACN's ACNPC-AG or ACCNS? Thanks in-advance! I learn from you everytime!

Grand Canyon FNP
I can't find much on their web site either. I would probably call them to get clearer answers. This link might help: Nursing Programs | College of Nursing | Grand Canyon University | College of Nursing | Grand Canyon University

If you look at their website, they describe whether their FNP program is online or onsite. Here is the link: Nursing Programs | College of Nursing | Grand Canyon University | College of Nursing | Grand Canyon University You would have to call them to find out what "evening-satellite" means and other info.

Anyone in or went through Graceland University Online FNP???
Can any past graduates or current students give us feedback on Graceland's FNP program? Helpful/responsive instructors/staff towards students? Guidance from instructors/advisors that want students to succeed?

Fort Hays State U. FNP program applicant
They have a "Tentative Course Rotation Plan" for the MSN-FNP program on their web site. Plus, their web site for "Prospective Graduate Students" say that they require 750 hours for the FNP program. You just have to search around their Dept of Nursing web site. Has anyone been through FHSU program or is going through it?

FNP program at Grand Canyon University
Have you discovered any info about their FNP program? How did you like their RN-to-BSN program? Their web site says that their FNP program is on-site now and at any of their satellite campuses. The only other Advance Practice specialty they have online is the Adult CNS for the full MSN program and post-master's certificate.
