  1. I'm guilty of being a lefty also. Growing up in basically a right handed world, I have learned to do a lot of things with my right hand. If I tried to bowl with my left hand, I would be knocking down the pins 2 lanes over from where I was. Now when I use a pair of scissors, I need to use a right handed pair, but must use my left hand! Go figure! I feel more comfortable checking for a pulse with my right hand.

  3. Hello Leighanne, I went to a local nursing home and got hands on training and then took the test. It seems like they always need the help and are willing to train you. Give it a try. Butch
  4. The Tetorifice and Tuberculosis shots were required at my school, but it seems to me that the school is only looking out for our safety! I think that it's a good idea.
  5. Hello Kim,I don't practice yet. I'm going to start school in January. I'm in Florida. Butch
  6. I can't believe all of the information is this post. It's great! It's like Christmas has come early! :biggringi

Hello Roozeyk, That looks like a good site! Thanks for the info! Butch
  8. I had my interview on November 18th and I thought for sure it went bad. On the 24th, I got a letter in the mail. I was affraid to open it up for fear that I would see SORRY, but instead, I saw CONGRATULATIONS! All I have to say is that even if everything looks bad, it still might turn out for the good. Don't give up hope! :balloons: :rotfl:
  9. Hello aegirl, I haven't had the chance to use a Littman yet. I have a Prestige Medical stethoscope and I find it to be very good. It's not an expensive one, I was told to get a cheap one for when I'm going to school. The model number for the kit that it came in is A5-blk. Here is a link in case you want to look at it. http://www.prestigemedical.com/Item94.htm I'm sure there are better ones out there, but this one seems to work great for me. Thanks, Butch
  10. Hello stbearlover1, You might also want to check with some of the nursing homes in your area. A lot of the nursing homes will give you free training. Thanks, Butch:rolleyes:
  11. That's pretty good! Even my wife likes that one!
  12. Good idea!
  13. I just found the site myself. It looks like it's going to be real helpful so I saved it in my favorites. Good Luck! Butch
  14. Hello, Your teacher is correct. There are 80 minims to a teaspoon. 60 minims equals 0.75 of a teaspoon. Click on this link. http://www.easysurf.cc/cnver13.htm#tatom3 This should help! Thanks, Butch :roll
