I did not to long ago. Just tell the truth. I told them I was sorry and very thankful for the opportunity, but another offer came up that was more beneficial for my career in the long term. They understood and even offerd to write a letter of reco...
Document everything, and notify the MD of all refusals daily! Also he needs a psych eval, and some sort of sign in sheet in his room, so whenever someone comes in to give care they must sign a log with how many mintues they were there.

I worked at two LTC places in NJ and they had a LPN as ADON and they did a good job at it too. Too much focus on the letters behind your name, if you know your stuff, you know your stuff(lol)
That's crazy!!!! No job should treat an employee like that. Nurses take so much crap! We need to start sticking up for what's right, stop being wimps and crying about "I need my job". We all need are jobs but we also need respect. Jobs that are mostl...
I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as the bills get paid and the family is taken care of. Being married or being in a commited relationship is a team effort. When one player is down the other one must go up to bat. My husband is in const...
I don't think your stupid, just stressed!!! I been there, like others said try a different field. Nursing is hard work!!! There are few jobs out there so if you can get one keep it until you can figure out your next move. Take a week or two and R...

When we were able to wear whatever we wanted I wore printed tops and jackets with pants that had a color in it to match. Now we have to wear ALL white. Sucks!!!

I attended MCVS way back in 2001. It's a great program and it can be hard at times with all the work and home life. Once you get a groove and a study pattern it will be ok. They prepare you for the RN classes also. Loved MCVS I would recommend them...
When I went to LPN school I worked 32 hours on the weekend 16 hours Sat&Sun and the kids with Dad on the weekend. I was considered full time so I got health benefits. It was stressful but it paid off.
Take your break!!!! If your not going to take it they must pay you for it. Where I work they make the CNA's take their break, they must clock out and sign out. The DON tells them at that time they must not be on the floor.

When I started out as a brand new LPN 9 years ago, I also recieved 1 month of orientation. The DON wouldnt have it any other way, even if you had experience she wanted you to have two full weeks of orientation. She was the best they don't make them l...

Im in NJ same thing here!! I'm working per diem and can't find any fulltime work. I have 8+ years experience. I've been sending my resume all over and only a few call backs all agency. There are NO LPN jobs here at all. I got an interview with ...

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I see a lot of people saying it will get better but I been doing this for 10 years now worked all over NJ in all the LTC places its the same! I have two girlfriends one in NY and one in NC and my mom in VA all who ar...
If you told the DON you did your part. In my past experience like someone said that nurse and the DON might be friends. Watch yourself because you might end up in trouble I see it all the time. Nursing is cut throat.
No, I never get a chance to take a break, if I did that would put me so far behind. Sometimes I might take a 15 just to eat a snack or to call home. Most of my coworkers only take the 30 or should I say 20 to get something to eat.
