  3. hi there! i have finished / passed the nclex rn, i was just wondering what happens now ... do i contact / send information regarding my passing nclex to CGFNS or does the vermont board send it to them? i have applied for my visa screen certificate 2 years ago they are just waiting for my nclex result. sorry, i'm not sure, i was trying to find an answer in the posts.. thanks in advance...
  4. hi amyD! i am happy to say, i passed! YOu can do it, you can Do it!! just when you think it's all so overwhelming, God brings you through it. i will be thinking of you as you prepare for the dreaded exam.... rebek4:biggringi
  5. good morning everyone! i just want to say that I PASSED! finally did it. i couldn't have done it with out you all. i only knew of one person who did the nclex until i found this forum. as a foreign nurse it was hard to find out about the nclex but this forum really helped me so much. thank you "allnurses". thank you to suzanne4 for your plan, it really works, just follow her plan. i started with questions on the cd, then i followed her first study tip, so i read the whole saunders book (i hadn't studied in 10 years), then went back to the questions. when i get the questions wrong i would write notes and read up on it. the last 2 weeks i began reading those notes. anyway, about my exam, i had 86 questions. they were so hard. 2 select all, no calc, a few meds, priority, education, deleation questions. at question 50 i just didn't know what to do, it was hard, i just prayed. everyone talks abou the magic number 75, so at 74 i prayed that it wouldn't shut off until i passed, at it did at 86. i left there with my stomach in my mouth, so sick. couldn't eat or drink. i now know how you all feel after the exam. but found out this morning i passed! to those studying, keep at it, it does pay off at the end, no pain no gain... to those waiting, all the best, and to the new RNs enjoy your journey. God is soo Good! i am so happy! rebek
  6. wooo hooo!! praise God! congratulations to you!
  7. sooo happy for you! congratulations! God is good!:balloons:
  8. hi there! set me exam date for early may. how about you amyD? got your ATT? i hope that is enough time for me to get it all together, i just pray that it will be. don't have yahoo set up, don't know much about the computers but clicking ABCD, hehehe. anyway, happy studying!
  9. you are an inspiration! huge congratulations to you RN joyce!:balloons:
  10. hi rozy! congratulations on your completion of the nclex! sounds like you did just fine on the exam. Praise God for the good things He still has planned for you.
  11. hi amy! it took me about 5 weeks or longer, i kept going back to certain areas i didn't do well in when i did the quiz. it was like doing my 3 yr nursing course all over again, but better it only took a few weeks, hehe. its good! there are always new things to learn. how's the studying going? did you get your ATT?
  12. hi! yeah i am the same, i easily get discouraged with my incorrect answers but i try to remember that practice makes perfect, so keep at it. when i do get something wrong i am more likely to remember that than the ones that i get right, so thats a positive thing. it will come together soon.
  13. thats great! how we are all doing suzannes plan. i have finished reading the book, i thought i'd never get through it, but its possible, hehe. i'm doing the questions now, trying to do 100 a day. my exam is early may and i am starting to panic because there is still so many things that are not concrete in my mind yet, like lab values, meds, i get so confussed. anyway, i will pray that we can all concentrate as we study. i am sure with His strength we can do it!!! happy studying!
  14. Great to hear your story Amy and how all things are made beautiful in His time. just wondering if anyone can share there study methods with me, just to give me some insight on ways i can improve my study time. currently i am everywhere, i try to do questions on the cd in between cooking and changing diapers, and the rest of my study time is at night, when i am so tired, i don't think i am retaining anything :). any suggestions? i feel like i can't remember anything. thanks in advance
  15. NO TEST;)NO TESTIMONY, ROZY Amen to that! God is good. You will be an Rn soon!
  16. hi! i graduated in 1996 and have been working as an Rn. i had to cut down my hours after the first child and now i work full time at home - with the kids and the hubby i mean, hehehe. i occassionally do some shifts at work just to get away from the chaos at home. God willing i will do the nclex here in Sydney in May. it is great how they have opened up a pearson testing site here only 30 mins away from home, i was planning to fly to hong kong and didn't know how i was going to leave my kids, my baby is only 6 monts old. God is good!!! and He opens doors. hopefully i can pass the first time round. how 'bout you amy? did you get your att? when are you planning to take it? what study materials are you using? have a great day to all!
  17. Hi again! i too am encouraged by you nurse dianna! Yes, i have Faith in God, that He will work according to His perfect plan for me. i just received my ATT and boy i was nervous setting an exam date, keep me in your prayers. thinking of you also AmyD as you wait for your ATT.
  18. great work! congratulations RN!
  19. hi! i am so glad to come across this thread and read all your experiences as i can really relate to it. i also haven't studied for years, 10 yrs to be exact, but i am an Rn here in sydney. i have been so brain dead since i had my two kids but am so determined to pass this nclex this year, i was planning to do it last year but God had a different plan for us (like having another baby). i started doing suzanne's study plan and am going through saunders. i was just wondering if anyone had any study tips when juggling a family, kids and hubby :) and studying for nclex? the house is currently a mess, i am taking every opportunity to study and only half the things i read is sinking in, hehe. anyway, happy studying to all!!
  20. hi there! i am from syd, down under and i am planning to take the nclex this year. i am currently a stay at mom but i was working as a midwife here. the midwives here i think do the same job and your labor and delivery nurses. my question is : - it is necessary to be specially trained nurses in L and D to work in the antenatal and postnatal wards there? or can any nurse work in those wards? i am just wondering if i could get a job (a sponser) in that area, if wei were to move there. thanks in advance bec
  21. hi suzanne! i am planning to sit for my nclex this year but am not planning to go and work in the usa till another one to two years time, as my kids are still very small. i was just wondering if i were given a rn license after passing the nclex, does it expire? thanks in advace bec
  22. thanks for that, will contact vermont board, would you know?
  23. hi there! can anyone help?. i am planning to take the nclex in hong kong for the first time in march 2006, i am trying to schedule my time table around that, and if i fail, i'm wondering how long do i have to wait to retake the nclex again? i was thinking of staying in hong kong instead of coming home to syd. i am soo optimistic, hehe... thanks in advance bec
  24. praying for you! All is good in His perfect time.:)
  25. Congratulations!!! That is great news. i have been following your posts and progress and it is so encouraging to know that you did it with Gods help and suzannes. my turn soon...
