  1. Congrats!!!!!!!
  2. The school i'm applying to DID require the HESI but told me on the phone starting December 1st it will be a different test...come on!! I wanna prepare NOW and need to know which test i'm prepping for!
  3. contact ur school asap!
  4. #3, sounds sort of like my plan, but if not Frontier I live near Nashville and Vanderbilt has a great program!
  5. This semester is going so fast, and it's been so easy! Nutrition and US History II, getting A's in both, can't complain!!!
  6. hmmm, I have 2 friends in the program who love it...strange. It's ALL WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT.
  7. I have a few F's on my transcripts, but I will still be able to get it somewhere I'm sure. You'll be fine. Nutrition class sucks, i'm in it now, but should come out with an A though it's HARD!!!
  8. It helped me anyway Cortisol!!!
  9. I hated mine, and failed miserably. I will never take math again on-line.
  10. Would love to hear about Belmont, it's one I'm thinking of applying to.
  11. My boyfriend, now husband, supported me thru school, but we were living together and planning to get married sooner or later. We're not married with 5 kids.
  12. "Because nursing is my passion." OR "If you knew what nursing school was like you wouldn't say "JUST a nurse."
  13. Stay as far from these people as possible, if they get caught and you're with them you'll go down with them! Turn your cheek and stay far away, if these students are doing poorly and ALL of them do REALLY good, the teacher might pick up on the cheating anyhow. Good luck, you're doing the right thing by not being apart of this, it's so degrading!
  14. Well, remember a lot of nursing students aren't traditional students, so quitting drinking, smoking, etc doesn't even apply to most. Think outside the box. For me I would do managing a family while attending nursing school, but then again that may be done often too.
  15. Talk to your professor about this!!! You need his/her help, if you're studying as hard as you say you are then there is a problem, and maybe the prof can help you. Never be afraid to ask for their help, that's their job!
  16. 3 people in my A&P II class have been rejected by MTSU as well. Keep trying!
  17. You need to meet with an advisor and look into WHY you aren't being accepted. Good luck to you!
  18. I'm waiting also! I turned in my app on March 1st, the LAST day to turn them in b/c I was waiting on 1 stupid transcript!! Grrr! It came ON March 1st, talk about lucky! I told myself if it didn't come in time it just wasn't meant to be this semester, since I ordered the transcript over a month before, and it came the day I needed it, talk about luck!!! I got the mail, jumped in the car and turned in my app! I have no idea when I'll find out if I get to the next step, which is the interview, I'm going to call tomorrow to find out! Good luck everyone!!!!
  19. I am this way sometimes too. I always try picture them with their children. I'm a mom, so this helps if I can picture them holding a newborn baby, or men playing with their sons. I dunno why, but this helps me remember they are humans just like I am, no better, no worse, no more important in the scheme of life.
  20. I would like to know as well. I'm trying to get EVERYTHING done before nursing school, get my family on a great schedule, and be "on top" of things as much as possible. I would love to hear how people are handling it.
  21. Don't you have to have one year working as a done completed before you can apply? At least this is what I have been told about this particular program. Try calling them, good luck, I heard they're a great school!
  22. Amazing. You're gonna be a great nurse. And your professor was absolutely WRONG in how she handled you, and I would definitely have words with her privately. She is a poor example of a clinical instructor. Hugs, keep up the great work!!!
  23. As far as the marriage goes, I think if it is strong, it will stay strong. just because I can't give my husband a ton of attention, doesn't mean it's going to go down the drain. People who blame their divorce on NS are just hiding the real truth, their marriage wasn't strong to begin with obviously. As for the kids thing, I have 5 ages 7 down to 18 months, so I feel the struggles you're all facing. all I know is my 7 year old thinks I'm totally cool for learning "all this stuff about the body" and no way I can let her down by failing. To RockRay, do it now!! They require a ton more attention when they're older, get started now!
  24. Hospital=interventions=problems. Nuff said!
  25. How do common sense and nurse's common sense differ exactly? Do you pick an answer that doesn't make "common" sense and hope it's right? I don't follow your advice Curiousme. Any help would be great, thanks! Good luck to the OP!
