  1. Who did you talk to @ Aquinas? I sent an email asking when letters would be sent out and he told me November too. I was thinking mid-October would be when they would send out letters---the first of November seems kind of late. Good luck to you. Maybe we will be classmates in the Spring!
  2. Yeah, I chose not to attend here. I couldn't justify the $$$, especially after reading all the negative comments. I actually had a friend of a friend that did not recommend Aquinas, after completing the nursing program herself at Aquinas. Where did you end up going?
  3. I'm preparing to take my HESI at Aquinas next month to apply for the Spring semester. I've been doing some research and have come across a lot of negative comments and reviews of the nursing program at Aquinas. Is anyone currently in the program that can give me their honest opinion of the school? While I certainly don't believe everything I read, it's a bit overwhelming when I've read sooooo many negative comments elsewhere about their program. I want to ensure that the school I choose to go to is the school that has a great program and will aid in my effort to become a great nurse! Any help would be great!
  4. willmo81---congrats on your acceptance! Good luck to you and please keep me informed. I'm taking the HESI in July and hope to get accepted for the Spring semester!
  5. Thanks for the info...I will definitely check them out! Columbia State Community College also offers the ASN program...they have a campus in Franklin....check them out too! Good luck to you!!
  6. Wow, I'm kind of surprised about how many applications they received. I knew they accepted quite a few each semester but didn't know how many. I'm not for the Spring. If I don't get accepted to Aquinas, I may apply elsewhere for the Fall also. I took some classes at TSU last semester and decided it's just not for me. I don't feel like the teachers are really invested in their students' success. I don't know about the nursing department professors but the ones I've had were not. I had to re-take my a&p classes (it had been past 5 years since I originally took them) and it was ridiculous!! Not one time in either lecture or lab did we have to name bones, muscles, parts of any of the 11 systems, etc. I just really don't think they prepare you and so I am scared to take nursing classes there....I wonder how prepared you are for your career?!? I had a huge issue with one of the lab instructors and called and emailed the head of the biology department and never heard a word from her. I guess it's just a "job" to them. There aren't too many other colleges in the area..that's the bad thing....so I'm really hoping I get accepted into Aquinas in January and hope you get accepted in the fall!
  7. Hopefully you're one of the ones who will be accepted! I wondered if they had a waiting list....wasn't sure how many they accept each semester. I'm hoping to get accepted for Spring. Have you already taken the two classes that Aquinas requires? (Moral Theology & Ethics) I've taken Ethics and am only lacking Moral Theology for completion of the co-requisites but figured I would take that during the summer next year.
  8. Thanks so much for the info! I actually ordered the exam review book yesterday. Are you starting the program in the fall?
  9. Did you take the entrance test at Aquinas yet? I'm taking it in August and was wondering how it is. Thanks!
