  1. The course doesn't consist of only nursing students. Actually, I believe i'm the only one in the class. It's a communications(public speaking) course. There are people from all different majors in the class, our speech topic just has to come from our major. I was looking for something that would interest people 18-22, both male and female.
  2. Hello, I have to give a speech in my public speaking class. The topic can be anything related to our major and mine is... Nursing. I was wondering if anyone had any really good creative ideas. They have to be relevant to the college age group and the speech can only be 5 mins. so i'm limited. I've thought of all the typical ideas like quitting smoking, cutting back on drinking, nutrition stuff. I kind of want something that they haven't all heard a thousand times before. Any ideas are welcome. THANKS!!! ** It's a PERSUASIVE speech, not informative. I can't just go up there and ramble off information. I need something to get these students thinking and acting on whatever I speak about.
