  1. I applied December 31 2013 and got an email on January 16th that my application was sent for review. It hasn't been very long for me, but I am still very anxious and eager to hear back.
  2. Hey! may I ask your credentials for getting in? How come they are having you retake a biology class?
  3. Couldn't agree with you more about the anxiety. Every email I get I'm praying it's from Simmons :) I'll pray for ya.
  4. Oh wow. Have you attempted to email them as to why it's taking so long? What were your credentials if you don't mind me asking?
  5. Hey Tasha, I received an email yesterday that my application is complete. Anxiously waiting for the March cohort. How long did you wait once your apps were in?
  6. Mind stating your stats for entrance? I recently applied and I'm just playing the waiting game. Had transcripts sent 12/31. Hoping to start in the March cohort, part-time. Thanks!
  7. Hey everyone. Congrats on making it this far and graduating. So I graduated May 2nd and started my first job in the PCCU on June 24th! This whole week is orientation but I start on the floor July 2nd! I was hoping to get some tips on working NIGHTS specifically. 1. What helps you sleep during the day? 2. What helps keep you up during your shift around 3am lol 3. How long will it take me to adjust to night shifts? 4. Any book recommendations to further my knowledge? Again, I am excited to start this journey and do what I love most. Help.
  8. Hey all, I wanted to get thoughts on what people thought about working in the OR as a new grad? I've always been interested to work in surgery. If I enjoy it I'll of course stay in the OR, but if I don't I'd eventually want to transition into the ED. How easily would the transition be from the OR to the ED? Appreciate any advice and what it's like to work in the OR!!
  9. Congrats!! I graduated with my BSN May 2nd in Arizona and just got my ATT this past week. I'm signed up for June 18. I was planning on doing the question trainers for Kaplan along with Q-banks plus the Saunders CD if I have time :)
  10. Freaking amazing... Whooping this programs ass. Which location r u at?
  11. Nooo... I love black socks. Guess ill have to break down and get some white socks.....
  12. I'm waiting for the orientation to start everything. Ex: Books, scrubs. I already have my Littman's Stetho! Wahoo. Does anyone know if white shoes are a requirement? If so, might need to get me another pair =)
  13. ----- is pretty awesome. Hi Kelly! Again, pm me if anyone has any questions, I'm here to help and guide if possible. Good luck everyone.
  14. Got my appointment Thursday with Finance Counselor and Academic Counselor to go over financial aid and hopefully register for fall. Wish me luck! I got an email today telling me there might be a couple different schedules out for Fall..... First come first serve.
  15. @Lizzyru: I tried emailing my enrollment counselor but I haven't heard anything back from her. Good luck in your meeting and have a fun vaca. @talenea88: All I had was a sheet of paper my clinic gave to me that showed the doctor's signature and showed the tb test and whether it was positive or negative and the date next to it. I hope this helps. I don't think just the healthcare form filled out is enough. I believe you have to show actual documentation that you got your tb test!
  16. I heard theyre still working on schedules and should come out mid-July? But I'm thinking end of July to beginning of Aug.
  17. Purple.... Or shall I say 'grape' black, navy blue, baby blue.. Notta.. But hey, thats my school colors and I'm going to rep it proudly
  18. For those of you who need to get a physical or a tb test still.... found out cvs minute clinic at 59th ave union hills does: Physical exam: $39.99 Tb 1 step: $27.00 I think those prices are fairly decent. Hope that helps anyone. The physical took less than 15 min and they only accept walk ins. Hours monday-friday are 830am-7pm. Is anyone as stoked as I am to start this thing! Bring it! ! Im real anxious about schedules, orientation, and financial aid. Going to vegas and hopefully one more vaca before school begins....
  19. I believe Lizzyru is correct. If you can show youve had tb for multiple years than your okay. I would call your academic advisor to set up the appt with the deans assistant. I set mine last week and she had a lot of appt times available. I met with her and unfortunately my physical was done in january so it was too old. So I got one done at a cvs minute clinic. And called ahead of time to see if I could swing by to drop off physical sheet. She said I could fax but I had to go down there anyways to the bookstore. then she emailed me my updated progress sheet and now my status is ready to register as soon as they come out with falls schedule! Can't wait for orientation!
  20. oh my gosh... After reading this post it makes me want to switch to scottsdale for sure. I want a helpful instructor that def looks out for us to succeed. I should try and transfer.
  21. Thanks Lizzru! I'm not quitting my jobs, but I'll def be cutting my hours down to weekends only. I love both jobs. I'm hoping that at some point during school I can take thr CNA test so I can transfer out of Banner Tbirds pharmacy and into a nursing dept. And as far as CVS pharmacy, my RPH if the coolest guy, one of my if not my best friend. And so working with him on wknds is relaxed and I can keep all my pharmacology knowledge fresh. I haven't taken the UNV and religion course but I'll be taking them during the 1st blk and 2nd blk. Theyre online I believe so I think itll be okay. I'm going to call this week to meet and register for fall. Got all my stuff together from the orientation meetin ready to go. Hows everyone else doing? I honestly can't wait to start. but I'm def enjoying this summer off. :)
