  1. Go to pearsonvue.com/nclex and login to your account. You should see a link that says you can get quick results
  2. Just wanted to come and add my little bit about the PVT.....I got the good pop up and indeed 48 hours later i passed!:clpty:
  3. Hope this helps....First if the final is comprehensive there is no way to cram all that knowledge in a week. However, I did review the things that I know I missed on prior tests in the semester and I brushed up on the content that I was already familiar with. We had a mini question session with instructors before we took our final and they answered any content questions we had so that helped too. I don't usually do study groups, but as a review it proved to be helpful since i was familiar with the information already...Good luck!
  4. My class started out with 78, and at the beginning of 3rd semester with the addition of fast track lpn's we started with 58. A couple people were on the fence so tomorrow we will find out who goes on when we get our syllabus for next semester.
  5. May 2011 is the finish line for me as well!!!! I am so excited....All that is left to climb is peds and management and then im finished....good luck everyone!!
  6. Every semester that you advance, the instructors of course, expect more out of you than the semester before. 2nd semester was definitely one of the most challenging for our program, because we received the bulk of our Med-Surg. content. My second year of nursing school hasn't been easier per-say, I've just gotten used to how things flow and what is expected of me.
  7. My lectures are about three hours long and we take a break around every 50 minutes to an hour. My best instructors kept us engaged in the learning process the entire time. We started class with questions on the previous content and ended class with questions on the content we covered that day. They also gave lots of diagrams and charts to help learners that were more visual or spatial. And most of all they appeared to be actually enjoying what they were teaching which helps more than I can say!
  8. me too! its not coming fast enough lol
  9. Do you all have test review after you've taken a test? Being able to look back at my test and see where i made my mistakes helped me greatly in preparing for future tests. Don't give up. Many of my classmates have had grades in that area and were able to still pass. I agree with the poster above, try getting more practice with nclex questions and not just the ones in the book. Those are mostly knowledge based and sometimes with the tests you have in school they want you to be able to apply that knowledge so the questions can seem a bit random. Also try "you are smarter than you think" its a book that helps identify what type of learner you are and helps you develop better study skills. Good luck!
