  2. Hi all. I passed the written part of the exam but failed the clinical:yawn:. Now I have registered to take the clinical exam but a little worried. Are they any cna books out their geared for passing just the clinical part? Thanks!
  3. Big deal! You failed so what!! Its not the end of the road. You did something commendable its called finishing pn-school! And that alone is a struggle. I'am still in pn-school so I don't really know what to study, but I did hear from friends nclex-pn from kaplan is great book. Good luck!!:heartbeat
  4. I'am currently in nursing school and I was told from the begining to "Keep your head down(in the books) and your mouth shut(no gossiping)!"
  5. I don't mind giving bed baths, wound care, dressing, etc at all.. But when it comes to male perineal care, I hestitate. And I dont mean just washing around the member, its the pulling back of the foreskin and cleaning I can't allways do.:imbar Any one know to overcome this anxiety? caliber
  6. Link not working? Maybe just my comp
  7. Hi, and welcome to the forums. 1. Depends on what state,etc.. you live at. I didn't have any problems getting in. In my case, I got in the first try and was very happy. Also IMO it is "easier" to get in than to an RN program in a college. Trust me I tried! 2. Don't think you can transfer credits from a vocational school like "veeb" and others to a college. However they're "lpn-rn" accelerated programs, which mean you can do the RN program in less time. 3. Your english is fine! They are plenty of Students in my program that are not fluent in english, and they're doing fine! Good luck!!
  8. Hey guys, I need to find "laced-up" white shoes. I googled a couple of places but nothing! Something that looks like this http://www.allheart.com/nm238404.html but for men!:bowingpur
  9. You're absolutely right. I will try to keep my head straight this week... Alot of emotions going through me. But I do feel alot better. Thank you.
  10. Yuck.. Thinking of dropping out of LPN program.. I can't fathom having this feeling on the first day of class, but after weeks of "gossip" and other childish behavior. I might just do it. Studying is not the problem. My grades have been great. Its the people that I just can't get along with.
  11. GL, mine starts on monday.. Study group anyone? AIM style. lol. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
  12. Well I do have some college credits but I can't go back to college right now. Iam pursing my LPN license(school starting soon) Have you or anyone got a job just by the training at school?
  13. Does a degree make a difference after LPN/LVN school when looking for a job? I have been looking at jobs posted from careerbuilder,monster,etc.. and all I have seen is alot of them asking for at least a bachelors degree and a associate degree:uhoh21: I have neither!
  14. Get books yet? Read them if possible. What I'am doing and have done to make sure the program goes smoothly is exercising, reading about a chapter a day and talking with friends and family about any anxietys iam having. Good luck!! And dont QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Wow, I can't believe its more than 3 months I made that post. Now its less 3 weeks till class and im still nervous!!Time just passes by doesn't it? LOL
  16. Congrats and great job!!! Now go party!!:balloons:
  17. lol. Many it seems. :)
  18. I honestly don't think it matters what color suit you wear. As long as you are hygienically clean and no wrinkle clothes. No "employer"(obv depends on the job you're interviewing for) will hire you for your "looks" or the color of your suit.
  19. Just wondering how many females are viewing this board?
  20. If you don't cry you're not human!
  21. I'am also starting school soon April. And I was told by my coworkers and friends that working fulltime will be futile. Most hours I would suggest working is 10-20hrs a week. Also If you have allready received the books try reading them after work, so you can get an idea and tell if you can "handle" it. Good Luck!!
  22. Very well put.
  23. :chair: I'am literally counting the days to my class! I'am very anxious but nervous! I don't know what I should start doing to prepare myself for the class. Start reading A&P or to develop my math skills? :smackingf
