I had a question about the clinical hours in nursing school. How long are the hours for clinical for nursing school. I got into Pasadena City College. Was wondering if anyone here could tell me what the hours were like for them. I heard that most nursing schools clinical hours go 6 hours then 8 hours then 12 hour shifts let me know if that is true?

Hello everyone I am a male college student I was just excepted into the nursing program at PCC in california. I was wondering if any here mentors and knows a mentor in nursing who they talk to when they were going to nursing school or before going to nursing school. I was wondering if anyone here can give me any input on there experience in nursing school as a male student and how they knew this was the right career choice for them. -Some background on me -have a bachelors degree in kinesiology from Cal State Northridge -College track athlete, I love it and hopefully wish to compete professionally some day. -Chose to apply to nursing school because seemed like a career that relates to my degree and seemed a very open field with many options to choose from. - I don't mind blood or bodily fluids -Very approachable, friendly person -Good listener with people -Would still like to compete in track and field while attending nursing school.
