So have2be go out relax and don't worry about the test go in there with the attitude that you are going to pass, think positive and know GOD will be with you. That is what I did for the PN boards last week I figured what ever GOD want for me at this time will happened, I prayed before I went in and asked and went in there very nervous but with some confidence that I would make. I just took the PN boards and from the start I just knew I would pass. But as the days got nearer and once I actually took it I couldn't think positive, everything I thought about was negative. I do believe that I passed thru the grace of GOD and from the help of my ANGEL (my granny), not excluding my hard work, but it is truly a blessing to sit down and take this test and pass it. Angel4 I just went thru the same thing. Took the LPN boards this Wed, I felt like it wasn't too hard and it wasn't too easy, I also did about 50 questions the night before and felt like I got the easy ones wrong too. I stopped at 85 the min. and I really was freaking out. The wait is horrible, but I called about eleven this morning and found out that I did PASS. First semester I worked part time 11-7am, second semester worked part time 7-3pm, third semester went to class Monday-Thursday so worked per diem and picked up hours when I could (usually 1 day a week), last semester thinking about going back part time, wait until I see the syllabus:) Went to school every summer full time so worked part time during the summer, because took classes like A&P, sociology and now Microbiology and Medical ethics (no piece of cake). So believe me today I feel mentally drained. But there are many girls in my class who work full time, school full time, kids full time and do alright. I think it all depends on you. I personally feel if you can afford to cut your hours cut them because this is my ultimate goal and loss of money will be my sacrifice until I am a full pledged RN, but don't get me wrong I really could use the money now. ___________________________________________________ "Can't wait til its over Dec 04 RN 2 be"

Thanks for the positive vibes. Can't wait until Friday. I just came home from a Medical Ethics class wanted to skip so bad after taking the boards but with summer course can' afford to miss any days. Well everyone I took the test and I am at a loss. I got 85, but I was scared when it shut off because I did either really bad or O.K. and the way my brain has been working I am not thinking positive. I had a ton of therapeutic comm, questions , 4 meds, couple of med surg , priority, nursing process, peds, maternal, gosh I think I had something from just about every category! When I left I felt so bad I called everyone I could think of and no one was home:angryfire I don't know gang it wasn't that hard but it wasn't so easy either and that is what really scares me because I hear the horror stories about it and I just didn't feel that horrible until it was actually over. Rnita I took the LPN test today and I feel the same way you do. I stopped at the min 85 and at first I wanted the min then I thought oh no give me more I don't know if I am doing well. I had a lot of theraputic comm questions , 4 meds only 1 I felt confident about and disease that we won't touch on until my last semester this fall (kidney, neuro, and mental health) but it still didn't seem that hard. And that is what really scares me. Either I did very bad or I did o.k. I came home to go over some things I could remember and some I got right others iffy and others dead wrong. I am so nervous. :stone :uhoh21: Well gang the day is getting near and soon I will be taking the LPN boards. I am a nervous wreck I have been studying as much as I can and I felt a little bit of confidence until last night. I keep thinking o.k., did you study enough, too much, too little, you are a RN student challenging the LPN what if you pick answers only within a RN scope, wondering if I made the right decision to challenge these boards (will I lose my confidence when trying to take the RN boards if I don't pass these), what if you get questions on disease you haven't learned yet, are you knowledgeable enough to prioritize, delegate correctly etc. etc. I know everyone goes through this but I hate this feeling. I never felt like this during school (Know NCLEX is nothing like school exams). Everyone tells me I am going to do fine because I am an A student in school but I know my grades in school mean nothing when it comes to this test. I worry about meds because my school isn't that strong when it comes to those (feel comfortable with cardiac meds though), mental health (because this is being taught my last semester this fall) and just the whole dang test. Amist this whole panic I must say that I have learned alot by just doing questions and that is what I keep trying to tell the devil on one shoulder. Well sorry for the long post just needed to speak to others who have been there and I know most of you have. Thanks in advance for any words of encouragement. Im sorry to hear the news. Please don't give up, now is the time for you to take of you so take some time away from studying and other stressors.
