does your hospital have a peds transitional care unit? You would get med/surg kids, kids that need monitoring and kids that come from the PICU. I work on a TCU floor and have gotten a lot of experience with all different diagnosis.

ive been a nurse for about 2.5 years and i make about 19.00+ i have my bsn, ever since i was out of school i worked as a pediatric nurse. i know my pay is peanuts, but lately i have been thinking about picking up another job on a per diem basis. ive been looking into even delving into adult nursing cause it will be something different, but it will be unfamilar to me also. My uncle works for a pharmecutical company and hes always sending me stuff too..sounds interesting too. If i did go through an agency, will they give me the appropriatr amount of orientation i need to work with adults. has anybody ever worked for a pharmaceutical company...a????

i passsssed!!!! YAY! Happy dance i had my mom look at the results while i was at work and when i came through the door i saw all these balloons..praise the lord..he is sooo goood!!!

im not quite sure why hospitals hire agency nurses??.. couldnt they use the money to increase the pay for their nurses????..i dont know.. it would be great if someone could explain it to me better.

took nclex today..took 75 questions when i left out i bursted into tears:crying2: ...i just had this i dont know how it went feeling..i was crying because with 75 questions (i wanted more) either i did really well or did really bad..and i guess i cant let myself think that i did really well...im still praying that i did pass...and trying to stay positive. i wasnt excepting the test to be what it was it seem easier than what the classes and books were saying it would be....i dont know.... its over now

well the time has come. theres nothing more that i can do. i did a practice test last night scored 72% did one today and scored 67%( im not going to study the day before). tonight i might go over a few items that are vague to me..maybe do another test. i just need some good vibes and prayers pass over to me..something to keep the nerves down....I will have to say that reading some of the posts..i do have somewhat of a postive feeling..but i dont want to be too confident..:)
