When practicing for the pax exam I know that there is an updated edition to the nln study guide. Does it matter that you get the second editon instead of the third edition? (Since the store did not have the third edition that is)
  2. Yes i have applied to other programs, and im keeping my options open
  3. Well that is exactly how i felt about this new rn program. Did not like the sound of it so im still undecided. However i found out the school is listed on my state BON site. also look at the director and other nursing teacher and found no negative finding. Thanks for your response.
  4. There is a new rn program starting, and they are accepting their first students. Since the program is new it is not accredited and obviously there isn't a pass rate for the school. Should I give it a chance, any feedback would help.Thank you:)
  5. Just to clarify that is just for new york city. Sorry but good luck to everyone taking the test!
  6. Well when I had call back in august they said there was no limit or experation period. The only thing you have to worry about is paying the 200 dollars. However you can call back and confirm.
  7. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! And thanks for the great notes.
  8. @ jslice this information was very helpful... especially with the lab values.. will definitely incorporate this into my studying. @ proudmom thanks
  9. hello everyone i am planning on taking my nclex in a couple of months and wanted to know if there were any advice on making a practical study schedule. i'm already studying but just wanted to see how others went about making their schedule in order to pass. all replies are welcomed and appreciated....... :yeah:thanks again
  10. c.protective the client from injury_ Protect the client from injury
  11. thanks for the advice
  12. Well i passed on the first time but I think depending on the state in which you live the rules can be strict in ny this girl field in weight she forgot to write lbs at the end. But I would say keep practicing I even believe there is a site for the test skills.
  13. I will like to join the study group as well.. Im trying to take the nclex in December because i have been out of school so long that i need to buckle down and go over everything. Just let me know a steady time so i can have an active part.
  14. I would say to wait till the official results come... that is the only way of truly knowing if you passed or failed. No matter what the outcome is try to remain positive.... If you survived nursing school you will get through the nclex!!!!!!
  15. Their program i think is good it really depends on the person though... once they give the materials YOU have to actually used them.. if you dont your not going to get anything out of it... Im actually using their materials to study for my nclex now!!!!
  16. Alot of people have told me that doing questions help as well as going over the rationales... You should also have a study schedule and stick to your plan. That is what I'm going to do.
  17. congrats!!!!!!!!!
  18. [The RN format During the administration of the NCLEX-RN examination candidates will be required to respond to items in a variety of formats. These formats may include, but are not limited to: multiple choice, multiple response, fill-in-the-blank calculation, drag and drop, and/or hot spots. All item types may include multimedia, such as charts, tables, graphics, sound and video.] I think i will call just to make sure.
  19. Wow ok so these were the changes made in april.. well thanks for the information but i was looking at the Lpn test plan on NCSBN and the new changes were not applied as of yet.. The test plan is still under the 2008 test plan [During the administration of the NCLEX-PN® examination candidates will be required to respond to items in a variety of formats. The majority of the items are multiple-choice, but there are other formats. All item formats may include charts, tables, or graphic images.]
  20. Is this new format just for the RN or is it for the LPN as well????
  21. Thanks alot this was very encouraging!!!!!!!
  22. Wow I am in a similar situation graduated in 2006 and I'm planning on taking it in december...Hopefully I can pass it after all these years.... I'm just trying to remain positive.
