I jsut want some comfort and advice. I dont wnt to make mistakes or I heard some stories of people getting fired. Than k you for your time to listen and hopefully to respond. I have always wnted to be a nurse and have gotten through nursing school and the NCLEX. I just want to do well at this and dont wnt people thinking I am slow just bc I am still learning and getting my nursing legs.

I have been reading horrible stories about how others jobs are terrible and how the first year is just awful. And what really wrried me was reading about how others were being fired for med errors. That is my worst fear:crying2:So I was wondering if anyone had any advice and comforting for me please. I dont wnt to end up hating my job or being FIRED. Please HELP.

  6. Hi there:) My name is Gina. I passed my boards in Oct. 2010. And just got my First job. It was my first choice job. Many people do NOT like Psych. But I really like it, and I am in the biggest psych. hospital in the country. Really excited but also nervous and scared. I was asking for some advice and some comfort.
  7. Hi there and I was reading your post, and I am a new RN grad, and I am curious what have heard about LTC and new grads???
  8. hey there I just graduated in May 2010. And am having a difficult time finding a job. I did hear that when I would graduate there would a difficult time finding a job... but I didnt know it would be this difficult. I am so worried and keeping thinking in the back of mind if I will EVER get a job, I am applying everywhere and try hard each day that I go out job searching all I can do is pray and keep trying.
  9. Hi there, Just passed my NCLEX-RN, super excited:) I went through an extremely difficult nursing school and did well. Now that I am now job searching... I am very worried about only getting a job in the Med-surg department. I had an anxiety attack while I was on the med-surg unit during nursing school, i just hated it:yawn:. I understand that it is a "great" place to start for the experience, but I am so worried that if it is my first job that it will ruin my nursing experience personally for myself. I really do not want to be miserable. What should I do... am I being unrealistic or too picky. I am not expecting a high end job or anything like that. But I hear these horror stories about having 8 -10 patients and being so overwhelmed that some just break down. I want to be safe to myself as well as my patients. Please help advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!:)
  10. Hey everyone!!! I PASSED!!! So this time.... I took deep breaths and I prayed!!! Now I know that not everyone has the 300$ for the Hurst review but it WORKS!!! I did my second time and it really does work. It gives an awesome review and tips.. I am serious it is really good. I did not use it my first time. I also exercised and relaxed more. Prayer also helps.. get your church family and friends to pray for yoU... God really does work!! Please dear friends do NOT give up it is totally worth the effort. God will be with you always!!! God Bless
  11. Thank you everyone who is replying to my messages with kind words. I am getting back to studying and trying new approaches and working on anxiety as well as excerise and reading my Bible. And have a structured plan. I still have one problem, my self-esteem. I feel like such a failure. I am really trying to be postitive but there are times when it is extremly hard. I feel as though I am not even a nurse because I did not pass my NCLEX boards yet. Does anyone have any advice???? I would really be grateful. Thank you all!!
  12. Thank you sooo much!! I Truly believe in God and have been praying:) I am hoping to take it again in September. So please keep me in your prayers. I am going to focus on my weak areas. And also I am working on being more positive. I am telling myself everyday "I CAN PASS THE NCLEX." I agree with others were saying when they got all 265 questions. I just became so tired that I gave up this time I am going to take more breaks work on relaxation and walking each day and reading God's word. Thank you sooo much for the kind words and God bless u in your career!!
  13. OMG!!! This is soo similar to my story. I took my NCLEX exam just 2 weeks ago and failed:( I got all 265 questions. I used Kaplan as well as Saunders. I studied every day for weeks on end and when I got my report I got "nearly passed" on all the categories. I am extremely upset and dont know what to do now. Do u have suggestions or thoughts??? I would really appreciate a response back. And Congrats on your passing:)
