Im in OB right now and its very hard for me as i have had 3 miscarriages over the past 2 yrs and want a baby more than anything..its very hard to even study the work at this point im depressed all the time..i hope you can make it trough the rotation and i hope it goes by fast..im hopin the same thing for myself...maybe you can talk to your teacher about it..i chose not to but our peds teacher jus shared with her she cant have children and has gone through this so i thought about talkin to her..if u have a teacher u can trust who can help u get through the rotation then i would say try that..if u need someone 2 talk 2 send me a message..again sorry you have to go trough this i know how you feel and its very hard

  4. fundamentals success is great..nclex 4000 CD...test success.fundamentals reviews and rationales.also i would make index cards of important material go through them first then do test questions. Go to the teachers and see if maybe they can pin point where you are going wrong in the test. like are you having trouble applying the info..are you not understanding something..are u having trouble doin nursing school style questions...and if all else fails try and get a tutor someone who can help u pin point your weak point help you work throuhg them and do better..i tutor another student who i found out has trouble takin test questions so we work on how to take them and she has done much better!
  5. deff respiratory as a main focus if she had any..another one is risk for fluid volume deficit..with the fever and im guesin n/v & d with the the flu that could be a huge problem

I am a student at holy name send me your email and i would be glad to answer any questions you have. i dont really go on here much anymore because i am so busy with school but i would deff be willing to give you some pointers and all. One thing is enjoy life now because when you start you wont have one..and have you done your pre-reqs yet?

  9. Alot of hard work, hours of studying, and motivation. If its something you really want than you can do it.
  10. i would do part time. over waiting till fall and doing full time. nursing school is alot of work but if u really want it u can do it

Dosage Calc. or Med Math...Fundamentals Success. .review a and p and micro if u took it also if u know anyone whos a nurse or cna ask them 2 help u learn how 2 do blood pressure and prac it so when u start school u will be a pro AND try and relax if u can because once u start nursing school you will not have a life..

Also I have an itouch and was able to download a great app for 3 dollars. I use index card..and lots of test questions! I like the idea about the ear pugs because i was easily distracted also. Dosagehelp.com is a great site ...i had a few diff math books and jus kept doing problems at first i would keep gettin things wrong but the more i reviewed why the more i learned and i finally became good at the problems..math for nurses is a good book. i also had one called dosage calculations ..jus do problems over and over again. set a schedule for yourself like 10-15 problems a day ..a time 2 do them and all
  14. Heres the thing theres a chance that you could get into nursing school with a low GPA but are your prepared for the fact that most nursing schools you have to have above a 78% to pass. Maybe you should work on your english before taking more pre-req if you feel that is what your biggest problem is and why your not getting a better GPA. I know alot of schools are only accepting students with a 3.5 and above. Another thing you could look into are LPN schools around me have nursing in other lang. Im not sure where your from I know they deff have spanish nursing. I think you should just really try and work on bringing your GPA up taking the pre-req and focusing alot on english. Go to tutoring take advantage of the turtoring center at your school and you will also have a better chance of getting in if you have a drastic change in your GPA bringing it up alot! They notice that and can tell that you are stiving for your best and that you will strive in nursing school.
