I have an associates degree and have been working in a smaller ICU for a little over a year. My family is moving from Florida to the Denver area at the end of March. Do you think it will be difficult for me to find a job there? And what hospitals ...
I graduated in May and have been sending out resumes without a single bite. I am feeling a little bummed and am wondering where I am going wrong. L&D, postpartum and NICU are where I would love to end up but I am applying to anything and every...
No problem. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. I'll do almost anything to avoid studying for monday's final.......this program will do that to you.
I don't know if you got the answer to this question already but, you take a HESI every semester. But it's specialized to what you are learning in that semester. In fourth, you take an exit HESI in which you have to score an 80 percent to proceed to...
Here is my opinion for what it is worth. Yes, Nursing is completely science based, but I don't think you have to love science to become a nurse. Instead, I think you have to really LOVE people to become a nurse. Before I started my nursing progra...

I just had my OR experience the other day. It was amazing. I was worried about getting queasy as it was at 7:30 in the morning. I ate a good breakfast and went in prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. I got to observe a total hip replac...
Honestly it all depends on your clinical instructor. My professor now says we can wear long sleeves in white or navy. But Professor ******** says no way and she is one of first semesters main professors.
In both of my rotations this semester, they will not let us wear the lab coat since the professors wear white lab coats and they don't want to confuse any of the nurses or patients.
EVERY semester goes through this same wait. It always gets cut close to class registration time. Don't stress, classes don't start until the beginning of January. Breathe future nursing students. This is only the beginning of the journey. :)
You're welcome. Also, I wear the dickies scrub bottoms. They match and they are softer and more flattering than the uniform bottoms. If you have any questions, let me know. I give up what ever information I have.
I'm sure you all have been checking but just something to remember is that the status changes in panther web under the limited access button days before they send out any information. Good luck. Try not to drive your self crazy waiting for the resu...
I got a 94 on my first nursing exam. I read the chapters....ALL of them. I did the NCLEX style questions in the back of the book. And I looked over the professors powerpoints to make sure I had a good understanding of all the concepts. Our profes...
I just started NS last week. I have a six month old baby and a teenager at home. My husband works weird hours and the teenage is, well, a typical teenage. So when my husband is at work I have very little help with the baby or with chores, which m...
