  1. Compared to where I am now. At least they teach and are accessible. Some of the students in my classes say they go weeks without a response. I’m prepared to take a review course upon graduation. But where I am they don’t even teach content to the tests. You get one or 2 discussion questions for each module and am told to read all 8 chapters and be prepared. It’s crazy.
  2. Do you feel they actually prepare you for the tests and not hung out to dry? I’m going to have to repeat a couple courses if I transfer. But it would be worth it if it’s not self taught and have the availability of instructors.
  3. I am applying for Summer Term 1. Did you already start?
  4. I’m thinking of transferring there from my current NP Program. Do they provide you with lectures, videos, zoom, etc to learn material or are you pretty much on your own?
  5. Hey!! Did you start at this school? I received my acceptance today. Trying to decide between a few schools.
  6. Congratulations! I’m starting the Summer 2021 session. Congratulations!
  7. I received a call about financial aid as well. I’m waiting to see what my schedule will be. I prefer to get my own books as well. Are you in any of the FB groups?
  8. I’ve been accepted to Herzing University starting May 10. Those of you that are in the program, how is it for you? I’ve been accepted to 2 other programs. But want to see if I can get feedback from current students. How’s the class load? A lot of busy work? Quizzes, discussion questions, papers, clinicals, etc. Live presentations or just Youtube videos? Thanks in advance
  9. I was also accepted to Spring Arbor. But they don’t assist with placement. Only give you option on what you need to do to if you are running into trouble. The admission advisor said that it is ultimately on me to find preceptors. I’ve read a lot of horror stories. Wilkes told me that the placed 96% of students last semester. So at least it seems they’re trying. I’m afraid of getting through school and having to sit out became I can’t find a preceptor. Also wilkes clinicals are 6 months, at the end. Spring Arbor is a year or so. Which pushed me to choose Wilkes. I don’t like taking 2 classes at a time. But the preceptor thing sold me.
  10. I believe they have both. But I’m in the BSN-PMHNP program.
  11. Yes. I am BSN-MSN, but have 3 classes I’m transferring in. So I’ll have one less term id need to take. Are you in any of the facebook groups? I’m just excited to get started while I have the motivation.
  12. Awesome. I got accepted into the May 2021 cohort. They’re evaluating my transcript because I have 3 graduate level courses that I want to transfer in. I thought advanced physical assessment was the first course. I really just want to know what books I should start looking for. Is there a facebook group for the 2021 cohort?
  13. I was accepted starting in May 2021. They only started helping with preceptors Fall 2020.
  14. @Msmedic68w and @kaylee how is the program. Wilkes was at the top of my list. But I’ve also heard some horror stories. How have your experience been? trimeduRN
  15. Has anyone attended any of these schools or attending these schools. I’ve applied to Wilkes, Norwich and Spring Arbor University and should be getting my acceptance this week. The reviews I read online were mostly negative. Has anyone had experiences with either of these schools. Positive or negative. Thank you
  16. I just completed my BSN at American Sentinel in two semesters. It is extremely tough to finish 5 classes in 4 months, but it is very doable. I did one course at a time. I finished each course in about 3 weeks. Initially they loaded three classes and then I added another when I finished the other one.
  17. Did you end up sticking it out at your employer? Which company was it. I just accepted a position with WellMed/UHG? Now I am kind of nervous.
  18. How did the interview go? Did you take the position? How do you like it?
  19. Has anyone tried HCA hospitals in the area? They have internships as well.
  20. Good luck tomorrow!!! I found a nice place in the Las Colinas area of Irving. I was able to push my start date off a little because it got a little to hectic... It has been extremely hot.. But the area is nice & affordable... Let us know how everything goes!!! Shawn
  21. Actually, the Elementary school in this district is Las Colinas Elementary and the middle school is Barbara Bush middle. I have been trying to do some research on the schools online and really havent been able to get anywhere.
  22. I have selected an apartment complex that I like and wanted to know if anyone had any information on the school district. I have read online and have seen that Coppell is more sought after, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with the elementary and middle schools in this district. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shawn
  23. Thats great. I start orientation on 8/8, I was able to get a 3/2 apt for right around $1100, and my complex is about 5 minutes or so from where you'll be interviewing. I have family up there so I was able to get things done rather quickly.. Good luck on your interview. Shawn
