  1. There's NOTHING to be ashamed about. I am currently in school (I'll be 38 at the end of the month), a few of my classmates are 2nd and 3rd timers. This is my 1st time in nursing school and so far the class work is pretty easy. Before school started I informed everyone in my circle that I will not be available for parties, lengthy phone calls, problem solving and the usual hands on things. March 2010 thru March 2011 is ME TIME. NOTHING and NO ONE will stand in the way of my dreams. Remember to study, read read read your chapters, MAKE notes during lecture, and most of all HAVE FUN! Good Luck to you!
  2. :yeah::yeah:SPERM POISONING!!!!!! :lol2::lol2:
  3. LOL!!!!! What in the world? I doubt if that's the purpose of the sign.....
  4. I'm an LPN student and I don't think it's being snobby......I know snobby LPN's, teachers, Dr's, city workers....my point is that some people are snobby regardless of their job title.
  5. I've been an CMA for 15 years and NOW an LPN student....when Patients asked "are u Dr Smith's NURSE?" I'd reply "no, Im Dr Smith's Medical Assistant. I am NOT a nurse." I have been reprimanded by 2 employers for clarifying that I am an CMA and NOT a NURSE....However I wasnt aware that it is a felony. I know several MA's that will say "this is Dr Smith's Nurse" ....Thankfully in March I will proudly say "Hi, I will be your NURSE today!!!" (yea ME!) I am going to inform my friends that saying I'm dr smith's NURSE is a felony and they can be arrested! I'm sure my friends will stop saying that....if not then they can't say they haven't been warned!
  6. Im a student (hence the name hehehe), yesterday we covered Wet- to- damp and wet- to- dry in skills lab.....the way u JUST explained it is the way I UNDERSTOOD it.....half my classmates didn't get it. They went back and forth for 30 minutes....I tried to explain they wouldn't listen so I figured "oh well"......TY for clarifying!
  7. That's even better news! He survived and YOU made a difference for both patients....I'm almost certain that they will never forget you!....although I'm still a student (we start clinicals in 2 weeks) I'm recving "little" rewards in making a difference. Stories like yours make me even more excited....Honestly I can't wait to make a difference! Tooting our horn.....WE ROCK! LOL
  8. Good job!!!! (maYbe I'm PMS'ing but this made me teary...and PROUD to be a future team member!) TY for Sharing
  9. Im soooo hating Med Term! This is the 7th week of school...I think its the book we were given...I actually purchased med term for dummies bcuz the book from my school is more of a workbook than a text book. At this point, I've put up a mental block....I'm working thru it though....thanks for posting the websites. I will use them if I hit a road block
  10. Oramar, I think you're right!
