  1. I was in your shoes last year! I had applied then found out I was preg and got into the program(ours is extremely competitive). So I took off the spring with her. So that's a wise decision!! It worked great for us. I've even been nursing since I started school! I am glad i waited! I am in south ms where are you?
  2. OK first of all I have always been an A and B student. I have an 80 in nursing. That has been hard for me to accept, but i am trying to keep in mind that I have more on my plate now than ever! School is a challenge but no really "hard". The hardest part is time management. I have to plan my mornings/days out to the half hour. My kids have a strict bedtime. While you manage your time and make schedules around school you also have to be flexible because in nursing school plans can change at the drop of a hat. And I know with me I prefer to have class and clinical in the mornings till noon it's just easier with little ones. Are you ready to start applying?
  3. We can in MS. We have done our clinical on injections so now we are responsible for any injections our pt may have.
  4. OMG did you not just hear the instructor tell us not once but twice to wear our maroons to that rotation!! If you ask another WHAT IF question I am gonna stuff a dirty sock in ya mouth!! NO it is not necessary to make a joke about everything your not at all funny! DANG you have another question hummm maybe if you would just listen then you wouldn't have so many questions!! UGHHHH
  5. Hi I am currently in my first semester of nursing! I love it! I have been accepted two semesters earlier but didn't go because I was scared! I too have five children: 8,6,4,3,8 months. My hubby is gone alot! I have no help at all. I had to put my oldest two on the bus in the mornings and afternoon. They have always been car riders and a private sitter for my younger three. I have made several scarafices to go but I am happy I did. I don't get to go on field trips and things like that with my kids. But on a brighter note I only have four more semesters to go! It will fly by in no time. I am bettering myself and will only help my family! And I tell my kids this too! It is hard at times and a challenge. And I am in the hardest program in the state too. But it will pay off big time!! If you have any questions let me know! YOU CAN DO THIS!! And like I said I am doing this alone with no help....I have no support of my family! They didn't want me to go! So if I can do it so can you!
  6. Hospice Nurse LPN you are an inspiration!! Congrats on your wonderful accomplishment! And how proud you must be you done it ALONE!! That says alot about your character!! SUCCESS is yours!! I am praying it all works out for me! I know it won't be easey but it will all be worth it!
  7. Tyler77 who are you to come on this post anyway maybe you can't READ it says CLEARLY ATTENTION MOMMIES. YOU NEED TO STOP HARRASSING PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WHEN WE ARE ONLY ATTEMPTING TO BETTER OURSELVES. IF WE CHOOSE TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHILD, THEN THAT IS OUR BUISNESS. YOU REALLY SHOULD EVALUATE YOU ATTITUDE AND CHOICE OF WORDS TOWARD PEOPLE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT PEOPLE ARE GOING THRU. TAKE ME FOR EXAMPLE MY THIRD SON LOST HIS EYE AND WE HAVE NEARLY LOST EVERYTHING TRYING TO PAY FOR HIS RECONSTRUCTION AND SURGERIES. SO I NEVER WANTED TO BE IN THAT SITUATION AGAIN. MY HUBBY HAS A GOOD JOB SO WITH BOTH OF US HAVING GOOD JOBS WE WILL HAVE A BETTER LIFE. IT'S MISERABLE PEOPLE LIKE YOU TYLER77 THAT WANT THE REST OF THE WORLD TO BE MISERABLE. SO YOU BE MEAN AND UGLY TO BRING PEOPLE DOWN. JUST SO YOU KNOW KARMA WILL GET YOU GOODLUCK IN LIFE
  8. Wow i am so happy to meet all of you!! It's nice knowing there are mom's out there with more than one kiddo! Most of my friends have one maybe two but that's it!! I am attending one of the harder ns in the state. So i have my work cut out for me! I am so excited to finally go!! We should all try to keep in touch
  9. Thanks!! I really have cosidered that! I know it's gonna be hard getting thru school, but will be worth it all! My kids are 8, 6, 4, 3, and 7 months! the baby is my only girl! I wish you mommies the best of luck!!
  10. Hey I am reaching out to all the student nurses that are mommies! I am the mother of 5 kids! four boys and one girl! I wanna know how you plan to manage your time. And who is gonna help you??
