Stony Brook FNP Interview
I just interviewed yesterday for FNP summer 2016 start date and they said 45 seats have been filled and my group would hear back by February 2016 so hopefully you guys will hear ASAP! I did not know they were doing rolling admission so it makes it a little discouraging that so many seats have been filled already :-/ best of luck to you!!

Low scores?
This site is SUCH a blessing!!!! I found so many good mnemonics and tips which truly helped me on the NCLEX. First of all, I just wanted to say I kind of struggled through nursing school. I had slight testing anxiety. My ATI predictor test said I only had a 68% chance of passing boards...which made me pretty depressed. I talked to my advisor and I told her I wanted to take a Kaplan course and had lots of friends who recommended it. I DEFINTELY PASSED BECAUSE OF KAPLAN. Although the Kaplan qbank questions and qtrainers were WAYYYYYYYY harder than the real NCLEX, I felt soooo much more prepared! I did about 5,200 practice questions from 12/22/09 till 02/01/10. I socially isolated myself from everyone on the weekdays and studied at a Barnes and Nobles. I recommend Saunders Comprehensive for content review. It's easy to understand, but do all of Kaplan's questions. Since I had access to the ATI tests from school, I did a lot of their questions, as well. My school said to do about 3,000-5000 prac questions. Since I knew I struggled with nursing tests, I wanted to do at least 5,000. Here are my Qtrainer scores (only putting it up here to show you that I didn't do TOO well and that reading EVERY rationale is sooo good!!! Esp for QTrainers 6+7) DIAGNOSTIC: 62 READINESS: 66 QT1: 50 QT2: 64 QT3: 45 QT4: 58 QT5: 65 QT6: 58 QT7: 60 Qbank: 60%, with 100% completed....DO ALL THE QUESTIONS! YOU PAID SO MUCH FOR THEM! USE THEM!!! READ RATIONALES!!!!!! I tested on the 4th and had 75 questions. Finished in about an hour and a half. Felt sure about some of my answers. Totally guessed on the unknown med questions. Had 15-20 SATAs, 1 math, a bunch of meds, no OB/psych/peds. The day before my test, I wanted 'Yes Man' J ...I looked over a couple things and relaxed. I tried to get to bed early, but was a little worried. I woke up a couple times during the night, which sucked..but it wasn't too bad. Got to the testing center about 35 mins before my time..felt good...told myself that I was going to kick this test in the butt! BE CONFIDENT! YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO IT! REMIND YOURSELF WHENEVER YOU FEEL DOWN!!!!! Did the PVT the second I came home, got the good pop-up! CHECKED MY BOARD 24 HOURS AFTER, AND I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! =) DO LOTS AND LOTS OF PRACTICE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT =)

Kaplan video content and required naps
I looked at the videos for the content I had a hard time with..the book pretty much has everything they talk about in the videos...so I fast forwarded some parts since they were just reading from the book lol

took nclex rn today and i have some Qs
I have about the same score for my Kaplan QBank, just make sure you go over the rationales and that you understand why the correct answer is the correct answer. That's what I've been doing, and it's been helping :) Good luck!!
