  1. gangs? i don't know about that. most of the houses around the western part of fullerton (st. jude) are gated communities. i know coz' i drive by st. jude's almost every day. you should be fine, you'll enjoy downtown fullerton also if you like the party/night scene.
  2. awesome. ty
  3. +1 99.99 percent of the time the first thing they'll ask you is how much experience you have
  4. That should be for the pre-reqs only.. the science classes (actual nursing classes) are usually required to be higher. For example most CC it is 2.5 GPA or higher now.

  6. hang in there. mine took exactly 25 days. you should be next. gl! :)
  7. Oops, I meant to give my update yesterday, but I was busy with Volunteer work and finalizing my registration for the RN program etc. Anyways, I took the NCLEX-PN in CA on December 14. I tried PVT trick a few hours after and the next day after test and got the good pop-up. I just found out yesterday (Dec. 8) in the mail that I PASSED. The PVT trick works! Thank you all!!!! GL!!! P.S. for those that recently passed and live in SoCal, is anyone planning to drive up to pick up their temporary license? pls. message me if you are. TY!
  8. ^^ i hope you get yours tomorrow. i think they mail a couple/few days worth of test results in a day (especially if there aren't many testers for each of those days). i just got off the phone with em' after being on-hold for 32 mins. lol. the lady asked for my SSN and she said that my results were mailed out january 5th (yesterday), i took mine dec. 14th. i'm thinking that they mailed a few days worth of results yesterday, so just stand by. :redbeathe GL and let us know once you receive yours.
  9. hi amy, may i ask what part of cali you're from? i'm also thinking about picking up my license and i certainly wouldn't mind to carpool. that is if it's ok with the other person i'm going with. anybody else up for this? i'm in the 562(socal) area. thanks in advance!
  10. did you call em' today? i've tried three times to get an update on which date they're on, but kept on getting the machine "the number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable due to excessive traffic, please try your call again later." i hope that they're working on dec. 11 today, because 12th would be next then 14th (my test date). the wait is killing me and it's not good for my m.i. :redbeathe:( gl to all [color=#535252]
  11. Saunders 4E, Kaplan Strategies and or Exam Cram. Try the search function, this question has been asked 139804861630x. GL! Go to LPN/LVN to RN or Distant Learning forums to get more info about LVN to RN/BSN bridge. Happy New Year!!!
  12. I think as long as you read the rationales to each question in the CD, then it helps you understand it more. That would be the bare minimum I'd do if I was stuck with that book/software only. GL!!
  13. ^ no need to thank me. kindly keep us updated once you receive your results. ty and good luck! god bless
  14. ^ could you please keep us updated when you receive your results? i took it just two days after yours. ty god bless
  15. Just got off the phone with BVNPT and they are currently working on the 10th (December) results. She said that they can sometimes process up to 3 different days of test dates results, it just depends on the volume of testers. GL (to us). Happy New Year!
  16. I think the file may be too big for email. Though don't quote me on that, I may be wrong. Try to find a Saunders 4E software or book also. I am in no position to tell you if that is enough studying with Exam Cram alone (I'm waiting for my results, although I did get a "good popup"). :crossfingers: To be very honest though, I have only done a total of 292 adaptive drill questions, then I started to do several simulated exams. After taking each simulated exam I found myself surprised to be in the above average and excellent score area. Then I thought to myself "oh WTH, I'm just gonna take my NCLEX ASAP. I graduated 10 mos. ago, I finally had the courage to put my foot down and said to myself to just take it and get it over with! (I had an M.I. though, that played a big factor on the procrastination/delay). Buy the Kaplan strategies book, I read very little of that also. I applied his ABCs and Maslow strategy on each NCLEX question.
  17. this will be merged i'm sure... sounds like you passed. keep praying and keep yourself busy to lessen some of that anxiety. grats in advance!
  18. I think it's definitely doable if you must take it before the said date. It would require a massive amount of studying and dedication however. IMO 100-200Q a day (6 days a week, about 6-7 hrs. studying). Disect EACH Saunders questions, rationales and Kaplan strategies. GL and just always remind yourself every day to "keep your eyes on the prize!"
  19. I have that software in my laptop, somehow I believe you can send files via YM or AIM. I'd also try to get the Saunders 4E if I were you., and definitely Kaplan Strategies book. Exam Cram is also useful (my preference, but we're all different). GL!
