  1. Hi: I did invitro in the second semester of RN school because they called and it was my turn. School had started just a couple weeks prior. Well thank God it worked the first time. It was a tough semester I was in Med Surg I. I had a 50 minute drive every morning and every evening home. I had all day sickness instead of morning or night. I was pregnant two semesters got out for the summer had her 2 weeks later and went back for my final semester with a newborn who of course was wonderful been sleeping all night since 5 weeks. After doing invitro I had to give myself an IM injection every 12 hours through 16 weeks of the pregnancy to prevent miscarriage. It was rough but I didn't quit I felt like it sometimes. She is now 14 months old I graduated last December had 265 questions on boards and was unsuccessful in January then again the end of March. I finally passed in June and I've gotten a wonderful paying job with wonderful hours. God has a plan and it works according not necessarily ours. Hope this helps Good Luck. :)
  2. Hi: I just passed on 6/23 with 265 and believe me when I walked out I felt I had failed but I passed. I had the minimum with LPN also. Just remember you were still passing in order to keep getting questions and I think if alot of people realized that before they took the test we wouldn't feel so bad while it was happening. I had 265 the first time, 186 the second time and felt better and still failed and passed the third time with 265. I'll be praying for you. :kiss
  3. Hi: I really do feel for you because I've been there not once but twice. The first time I failed it hurt really really bad because you just want that chapter in your life to be over so you can move on. I had to give myself some down time because it was like I had a mental block or something after I failed. I used NCLEX 3000 CD by springmaid and Saunders questions and answers book. Those two were the only two things I thought was anywhere similar to boards and they weren't exact either. I think doing so many questions a day is the best way to attack this thing because it teaches you how to answer questions and when you read the rationales it sticks with you. I had 265 the first time I failed then 186 the second and 265 when I passed the third time. But I tried reading and reviewing not doing questions for the second time and I think doing questions is the key. I passed LPN the first time with the minimum and I had used Saunders then also. Hope this helps but believe me I know it doesn't change you pain. :kiss
  4. Hi: I know saying I know how you feel doesn't help you but believe me I do know first hand. I was really heart broken and couldn't make myself study for a while after the first time so give yourself some time off and then go back to it. I used the NCLEX 3000 CD and Saunders questions and answers. Email me privately if you want to talk. I'll be on vacation for a week.
  5. I just passed on my 3rd try and I used NCLEX 3000 CD that was recommended to me after I failed the second time and I used Saunders questions and answers but mostly did all 3000 questions on the CD. I was successful with Saunders on my LPN. But my opinion NCLEX 3000 CD is all you would need. I had taken a review course and used Kaplan book 2nd time but not Kaplan review. Good luck. :)
  6. :rotfl: :rotfl: I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINALLY PASSED ON THE 3RD TRY. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT. I HAD 265 THE FIRST TIME THOUGHT IT WAS HARD, 2ND TIME THOUGHT IT WAS EASY HAD 186 FAILED AGAIN. THIS TIME HAD 265 AND THOUGHT IT WAS HARD AS CRAP AND PASSED. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A FEELING AS WHEN I PULLED UP MY SSN AND IT SHOWED UP. MY HUSBAND SAID WHY ARE YOU CRYING BUT THEY JUST DON'T KNOW THE RELIEF. DURING SCHOOL I DID INVITRO, HAD MY MIRACLE CHILD AND EVERYTHING AND THIS EXAM WAS HOLDING MY LIFE UP
  7. I don't know what I would do without this board. Thank you all for being there. I know you all know how it feels because it is hard to explain it to our families. Thanks again. :)
  8. Hi: I took the NCLEX yesterday and it was hard as crap. I had all 265 and I don't feel good about that. I had 265 back in January and failed. I just feel like an idiot that everyone can pass at 75 and I have to go all the way to the end and still fail. I should know tomorrow but I'm afraid to find out because we leave for vacation Sat. and I don't want to ruin it by finding out I failed. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Thanks for listening.
  9. Hi: Where are you taking your boards? I'm taking mine in Raleigh on Wed. Just curious I'm really nervous also. Let me know how many questions you have and so forth. I'm praying for you.
  10. Please let me know how you do. Thanks :)
  11. Hi: I'm so nervous I'm taking the NCLEX RN for the third time Wednesday 6/23 and pray I pass. I had 265 the first time and 186 the second time I failed. I've done thousands of questions this time. I'm hoping I'll take it Wed and find out by Fri I passed because we are leaving for vacation Sat. and I want to be celebrating. My husband doesn't want me to try to find out until after vacation. I'll let you all know either way. Thanks for your support. :)
  12. Hi: I needed your post today. I graduated 12/03 took boards 2/03 had 265 and failed it like to have killed me. I went back end of 3/04 and it cut off at 186 I felt I got them all down to 2 answers and felt better when I left I failed a second time. I'm terrified to go back again. I'm hopefully going back at the end of 6/04 I felt embarrassed etc at first but you know it is no one else's business and if they want to talk about me well they just can because I know in my heart I'm a wonderful wife, mother and LPN and I'll be a wonderful RN when I get over this bump in the road. My problem is I worry about what everyone thinks of me. I went through alot in nursing school I did invitro and it took had a beautiful daughter while out of school for the summer went back for my last semester with a newborn so I know I can succeed at anything comes my way with faith and determination. Thanks again. :) :)
  13. If anyone has any suggestions at any time feel free to email me. Thanks again. :) :)
  14. I was just wondering if anyone has taken boards since April 1 with the new format of fill in the blank, more than one right answer etc. I failed earlier this year and I've got to retake them. Just wondering how much of the new type questions were on the exam. Thanks for any input. :) :)
