  1. come to reno, you'll get a job with little or no problem.
  2. yea i took it last summer and i am currently in my second semester there! the math has no geometry, physics, or chemistry. the math is all about fractions, decimals, percentages, and being able to convert to and from fractions/decimals/percentages. there's some basic measurement conversions as well, as in, given x amount of gallons how many pints are there type of thing. i got a pre-algebra for dummies book and studied from that only for the most part. personally, the kaplan nursing entrance exam book wasnt really helpful at all for the math portion...
  3. grats! this is the route id like to go aswell
  4. study everyday. everyday-everyother day make sure youre reading due-dates and scheduling accordingly. if you are organized, nursing school is no worse off than any other school..
  5. I was worried about this until i started talking to nurses at one of the hospitals and seeing how many of them had tattoos/sleeves. just keep them covered and youre good
  6. study everyday. dont run out of beer
  7. all the men in my class, including myself, are all hetero outdoors men who like working on cars and drinking beer. doing our part to change the stereotype
  8. chegg.com is a wonderful place to rent most books
  9. i just find the most annoying one and turn it up loud. that way i have to wake up to turn it off, and i usually become very annoyed which gives the the fuel to get out of bed
  10. i realize this is a little late. it is quite different in a number of ways. they only test you on reading, writing (grammar/punctuation) and basic algebra. i studied from the kaplan book, you absolutely dont need to know any geometry/physics whatever, just focus those decimals and fractions. reading and comprehension and writing i actually got SAT books and studied from them.
  11. congrats! i hope to work in an ER when im finished with my program
  12. i'm just gonna copy/paste this in my motivation folder! congrats
  13. one school in my town took the highest grade but another of them averaged the two grades and thats what you got
