  1. Thank you I'm going to check that out
  2. I took eng 102, ap 2, micro biology, ap2 lab and a technology and society class while working anywhere between 40 and 70 hrs a week at two different jobs. I have two small children but my wife was a stay at home mom. I work in ems so I pretty much spent my down time at work studying and I studied at home when my kids were sleeping. Having 6 kids is going to make it tough but it's do able you just have to be very good about making efficient use if your time. It can really feel overwhelming at times but it's only temporary and realizing that what your doing is going to improve your life and your families life in the long run helped me to push through when I was feeling discouraged and those days are just a memory now. Just remember when your in the middle of it that your not the first one to be in a situation like this, it's do able and it's been done before it just depends on how much you want it and how dedicated your willing to be.
  3. Thanks for the congrats and advice. I saw some fellow students recording lectures when I was doing my pre req's I think Ill give it a try.
  4. I received my selection email yesterday! Will be starting my program in April. I can't wait.
  5. I've been an EMT for 13 years and had my ff 1&2 cert for 10. Just finished my pre req's and took my entrance exam for An Adn program. Hoping to get my acceptance email this afternoon!! I've been told my prehospital experience will help with getting a job just hoping it doesn't get me singled out too much in class. Some of my instructors that new my background singled me out some in my pre req classes but all of the experiences with that have been good so far. I think the experience and networking from years of EMS will be a very good thing to bring with you in a nursing career.
  6. Just finished my pre req's today!! My school is like some of the others we need a b- (83)!or better to move on. Your allowed one retake and if you fail again your gone.
