It's mostly information and questions , but there are links to different resources like heart sounds, breath sound, medications, lab values, etc.

I have friends who were in very similar situations and they passed so just know that it can be done! First, there are strategies that will help you to choose the right answer. The strategies I learned were from the kaplan nclex rn review book. Saunders has test taking strategies as well in their book so either one is fine! Multiple choice: You should be able to eliminate two of the answer choices because they will have nothing to do with what the question is asking. For the select all that apply you treat each answer choice as a true or false question. The Saunders CD has those types of questions. I studied by systems (Cardio, Respiratory, ear & eye, etc.) it is easier to study that way. I watched the ReMar Review youtube videos that I mentioned when I needed a break from reading the book. For Pharm I grouped the drugs ( like beta blockers, proton pump inhibitors, antifungals, etc). know what they are used for, patient teaching, how they are adminstered, adverse effects, etc. Also pay attention drug interactions. The main thing is study a little each day and make sure you take breaks (Have a study free day every week, you do not want to overload your brain). Hi! Get a NCLEX-RN Review book now. I recommend Saunders because it covers everything. It also helps with nursing school. nursing school is tough but just remember the goal is to become a nurse! If you can do practice questions when you have time. I'm telling you this will be beneficial to you even in school. You can do a web search for practice questions too. What are some of your concerns with school and/or nclex? I'm here to help!

Hi! So I decided to make a post because I finally passed NCLEX- RN (THANK YOU GOD!). Hopefully you will find this helpful. It's a little long though, but hey whatever helps! A Little about me : I failed NCLEX RN the first time I took it, then I took a break (about a day or two) and got back to studying .The 2nd time I took the exam I got the "Good" Popup and 48 hours later my name and license number was on the BON! I'm going to share with you how I did it and hopefully it will help you pass too. Study Materials: 1. NCSBN Learning Extension 5 week course: (I believe they have a 3, 8, and 15 week course as well) - This helped a lot. There was a lot of good info . It breaks down Management of Care, Safety, Basic care and comfort, etc. It also breaks down each body system. Maternity, Peds, Pharm (although I did not complete all of the pharm sections) are also included. There are plenty of practice questions included as well. 2. Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX RN Review (5th Edition): I believe there is a 6th edition out, but it's basically the same as this one. THIS BOOK COVERS EVERYTHING!....AND I MEAN EVERYTHING! This book comes with a CD that includes 1000's of practice questions. There is an assessment that you can take that will tell you where your weak areas are and will even make a study schedule for you. There's study mode, quiz mode, and exam mode. They have tons of alternative format questions. I have to be honest though, this book is extensive. I would suggest paying close attention to the pyramid points in each chapter. I did not read the whole book. 3. ReMar Review: I did not buy the quick facts book so I cannot comment on that. However, I did watch her videos which were extremely helpful. I would suggest taking notes from each of her videos. Also there is a ReMar Review Blog that also contains helpful information as well as practice test. The website is http://www.remarreviewblog.com/ . 4. Study Guide: https://allnurses.com/hesi-exit-exam/nclex-hesi-study-507271.html . This study guide was helpful as well. I looked up most of the topics (Hint, Hint) so that I would get a good understanding of everything. 5.Kaplan NCLEX RN Review Book 2013-2014- I used this book mostly for test taking strategies. They have a lot of strategies on how to answer NCLEX questions. This book also breaks down the things you need to know for each category on the NCLEX (Management of Care, Basic Care and Comfort, etc. ) This book was big on content, but the information was helpful. 6.PRAY, PRAY, PRAY- PRAYER WORKS! THANK GOD IN ADVANCE! Tips 1.Practice priority questions (who would you see first, what would you do first, etc). 2.Pharm- study medications in groups. Don't try to study individual drugs because there are too many of them. Pay attention to indications (why the drug is being given), adverse effects , and teaching. 3.Safety- know infection control.
