Any nurses with Pacemakers?
I have and ICD. The only thing I can not have is an MRI. There is no other limitations for me.

Hugs to you floor nurses
I agree 100% with sarjasy! I do not believe you acted in a professional manner by telling the patient off. Would like it if the situation was reversed?

What is your after-work procedure?
Are you a Germophobe? I think your actions are a little extreme. The air we breathe is no good.

Lied on...what to do?
You did wrong by not putting in the needle in the sharps when you were finished with it. Your careless action could have gotten a visitor to the room or a co-worker stuck. Shame on you. Next time pay attention when your facility has Infection Control inservice. It's done for a reason. Your lucky your NM did write you up. I would have.

Before the Morning (Failed CRNE three times. what now?)
Hang in there. My prayers are with you.

I feel stupid
On the one hand, I feel sorry for you, and on the other hand I feel sorry for your patients, who you have the potential to serious harm with your negligence. Please consider getting a complete workup from your PCP, or go on disabilty.

Thanks to the decision makers in Albany!
I resent you attitude. I was once a brand new nurse and I studied hard for 4 years to earn my BSN. Why didn't your friend get an RN license after 33 years? And furthermore, I know how to put a patient on a bedpan.

What are the pros and cons of being all male nurse
I never heard the term "All Male Nurse" Please clarify
-
One of *those* nurses....
I would keep a log of all that bullying, get a lawyer, and take legal action. That is harassment. I wouldn't stand for it.
-
Why is nursing such a horrible job?
Nursing is a dirty thankless job. Nurses get no respect at all.

Failed nursing student
You are not a "failed nursing student". As you know, nursing is a difficult major, and it is not for everyone. I would not do the LPN course, because many hospitals are phasing out LPNs, especially in NY. The only LPN jobs I see posted are for nursing homes or clinics. There is a lot you can major in healthcare. Before I became a nurse, I considered Physical Therapy. There is a lot to do in that field, the money is good, and you do not have to work nights. Check it out. lol

Do you keep your license(s) in your wallet?
I keep it with at home. All my information is on the nursing board website

When the tables are turned (nurse on the receiving end of care, acted like a fool)
After 3 major surgeries, a little pinch with the needle is nothing to me
