  1. I don't know where you are but I am here in Southern California where jobs are scarce. I am fortunate enough to have been hired recently (new grad RN, June 2011), I plan on holding on to this job as long as I can!!! Super thankful. There are new grads around here that have been searching for their first jobs for over a year!!!! Basically what I am saying is that in the broad scheme of life, 2.5 years really isn't that long and pretty much what you are going to need to say that "you have previous experience" on your resumes and applications.
  2. Just graduated in June 2011, newly hired on a PCU floor FT
  3. NJ have you found out yet? I am sure you passed!!
  4. Thanks!! So glad that is over with, no to beg and plead for a job!! ha! Good luck to everyone who is testing!!!
  5. Well I passed, guess the pearsonvue trick works!!! yay
  6. A for sure!!! Lose that airway and you have nothing!!
  7. Kay, Here is my question. I see all these posts from people saying that the pearson vue trick worked for them, they got the good pop up and they passed! yay for them but here is my question, has anyone not gotten the good pop? Has anyone gotten the good pop up and then found out they didn't pass? Just curious and don't mean to be a non-believer. Ohh and I just took mine yesterday in CA and I had 120ish questions and I got the good pop up....freaking out just ALOT!!! ha Thanks for the input ahead of time.
  8. Crazy question, are employers looking at you overall GPA or just your GPA through the nursing program?
  9. Sounds like a pair of hemostats. You should be able to get them any nursing supply store.
  10. Oh and Boog's girl, this person was probably asking the question because they didn't know, not because they were being lazy and didn't look in their book. I don't get why people post responses like yours. Just saying
  11. Wild guess....LR
  12. Jealous!!:) I have the rest of this semester of Pediatrics and then one whole semester left. Graduate in May!! Can't wait!!!! Congrats to you, hooray for the last day! I can't wait!!!!
  13. Good luck to you! I felt the same way. I'm starting my second semester this coming Feb. and I still feel that way. Sometimes I have to pinch myself!! I'm sure you'll do great! Remember to do all the required reading!! It really does help!!
  14. Just bought myself Saunders! So far I really like it!
  15. Yesterday was my first day!! Whew, glad that is over with!! We basically went over our resource manual and our class syllabus for about five hours then the last hour, we practiced taking Blood pressures. All in all, it was realy a great day, it makes me excited for everything to come!!! Congrats to all you other class of 2011!! So excited!!!
