  1. I am wondering the same thing. I am supposed to take my test on July 25 but am a little concerned now. Does this mean our application is no good or do we still test and just won't receive a license? I am confused. I am trying to find someone to contact to find out more information. Please let me know if you hear anything.
  2. I graduated in 2002 also and am now deciding to retest after 8 years. I am doing Saunders Comprehensive, LaCharity and I am strongly looking at signing up for the Kaplan complete online course.
  3. congratulations angela93 rn!!!!!!!! i am actually in a similar position i am in the process of applying to retake boards after being out of school for 8 years. thank you for the extra motivation.
  4. congrats on the test and the baby!!!!!
  5. Sorry to hear about that but like they say everything happens for a reason, take the extra time to study a bit more and practice on relaxation techniques..Good luck
  6. congratulations!!!!! :yeah:
  7. Just RELAX and stay positive. I have been out of school for 8 years and I am in the process of preparing to take the NCLEX-RN myself so I understand your fear, but I will not let that overcome me this time. You have done well on your practice tests and I know you will be just fine, hope to see your results soon.
  8. Thank you, I know the boards are the same in every state. I have to take it for another state because after 3 years in TN you have to go back to school or apply in a state that does not have these requirements.
  9. Thank you, I am getting my paperwork ready to send in because I don't want to put it off any longer. I know if I am approved to take it elsewhere and I pay for it all that's left to do is study hard and PASS. I am glad to know I am not the only one who is or has been in this situation, but I keep telling myself it's never to late, if I worked hard to graduate nursing school I can put the same effort into passing this test, not to mention the money spent on school.....
  10. Thank you, I am staying very positive about everything, and CONGRATS:yeah: to your friend...I may have to try MS boards myself
  11. Hello everyone, I am new to this site and I have seen a few other people in my situation. I graduated from NS 8 years ago and did not pass boards. I am not going to make excuses I just know now I am more focused and determined to finally pass the NCLEX-RN if it is not too late. I live in TN and am told that after 3 years you have to go back to school or sit for boards in another state. I have tried to find a BSN program but it looks like you need to already be licensed to attend. I know I will be taking a review course if given the opportunity to sit for boards again. What do you all think is the best review course to take Kaplan, Hurst, Saunders, NCSBN? Thank you all for reading my story and I hope to hear from you soon.
  12. I am in a similar situation also...I graduated 8 years ago and did not pass boards so I went on with other things instead of focusing on the test like I should have. Now I feel like I am more focused and determined to pass the NCLEX-RN...I live in TN and after 3 years of being unsuccessful you have to go back to school or apply to take boards in another state....at least that's what the contact person at TN BON told me. I have been trying to find a program where I can get my BSN without a license but I haven't been successful in doing so...However I plan to take a review course since it's been sooo long. Good luck with everything and I wish you much success!!!!
