  1. Please let me know if you passed. Hopefully this was your last time!! Good luck to you!!!
  2. thank you!!!! and good luck to you!!!! just practice all the questions you can. priority and delegation are huge!!
  3. The Review course is 3 days. It cost me 310.00 and I also received 2 books, 1 with a lot of questions to practice and the other with easy ways to remember drugs, diseases, etc. If you google Sylvia Rayfield review, it will bring up the information as far as review dates and locations. I know they have a review specifically for NCLEX PN as well. It was definitely worth the money and time spent in the review. Good luck with your test!!!! and don't ever give up!!!!:)
  4. Thank you to everyone for the congrats!! I posted my story to give hope to those who have failed and those worried about taking the exam. If I can do it after 17 years of being out of the loop, anyone can do it!!!
  5. I do not know of any limit on the number of times you can take the test. In Ohio you can test every 45 days, so that would end up being about 7 or 8 times, providing you get your ATT in a timely fashion and can schedule accordingly.
  6. I finally passed the NCLEX after answering 265 questions. This was the 9th time I have taken this exam. Not to mention, it also took 17 years and approximately $3500 in testing fees, review books, etc. I have answered anywhere from 75 questions to all of them at one point or another. So I do not really feel that how many questions you answer is a determination of an absolute pass or fail decision. I gave up on this exam for a very long time and just came to the conclusion that I was not meant to pass and would have to do something else with my life. My oldest daughter just finished her first quarter of nursing clinicals and she gave me the inspiration to try it again. I took the Sylvia Rayfield 3 day review class and it was the best money I have ever spent. I learned so much and everything finally "came together". I took the exam a week later and passed. So to all of you out there who are struggling: It can be done!!! Don't give up and remember, if the computer goes past question 75, don't freak out, you have more time to demonstrate how intelligent you really are and as long as you are answering questions, you are still in the game and still have a chance!! Good luck to you all!!!
  7. I answered 265 questions and I passed, finally!!! I took the NCLEX 9 times before I finally made it. I have answered anywhere from 75 questions to all of them at one point or another. So the amount of questions you answer really has no bearing on if you passed or failed. And for the record, it took me 17 years to pass it as well. I gave up for the longest time and my oldest daughter just started her nursing clinicals and she gave me the inspiration to go back and try it again. I took the Sylvia Rayfield review course 1 week before my exam and it was the best thing I could have done. I also had a transcription job at the hospital and that tremendously helped with drugs and lab values. So hang in there and just remember, just because the computer does not shut off at 75, does not mean you have not passed. You just have more time to demonstrate how intelligent you really are!!! As long as you are answering questions, you are still in the game. Good luck to you all!!!
  8. Thank you so much to all of you for the kind words and advice. I did fail again but have registered for a 3 day review course next month. I should be eligible to test again the day after my review classes are finished. Until then, I will be hitting the books and doing practice tests. I will NOT let this test beat me. I am more determined than ever to pass!!! Thank you again!!!!
  9. I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday for the 7th time. I answered all 265 questions and felt terrible after the exam. I still feel terrible. I graduated from nursing school 16 years ago and have never been able to conquer this test. I eventually had given up on it because I landed a really good job that paid very well and loved what I was doing. Unfortunately, I lost that job this year, due to the economy, and decided I put too much time and money into my schooling to just give up. So, after 9 years since I last took the NCLEX, I decided to try again. I studied for hours on end each day for the last 2 months. I did well on all practice/simulated tests and felt more confident than before and thought just maybe I could do it this time. I did the pearson "trick" and it lets me go to the payment page. That really makes me sick. Any advice or suggestions from anyone? I am bound and determined to pass this exam sooner or later. I just worry that since I have taken it so many times already, the board will eventually step in and say enough is enough and not let me test anymore. I don't know how many times a candidate can take it and if there is a cut-off point. I am pretty sure I have failed it....again.....should know for sure tomorrow.
