yes. kewlnurse2b, I was extra nervous and scared when Kaplan came to visit my school and informed me that the bar will be set higher effective 4/1/13....I graduate in May... which means it includes me....I mean I am just goign to study hard and think positive. Good luck to you.

Where I live they also hire new grads in the ICU, this is because they want to mold us as new students into what they want in an icu floor, Experienced nurses already have their own ways (habits) of doing things which can highly impact their service as an ICU nurse. I am also going into, my last semester in two weeks. I am so excited and scared!.

I have read both responses when it comes to nitro and chest pain. If a patient has chest pain and takes one nitro after that they have to call for help (911), I read this in my pharmacology book and put that as an answer in my pharm quiz and got it right. On the other hand, I have read that if after the third nitro dose And chest pain is unrelieved then call for help.

hey I am doing my clinical rotations at cleveland now.. How was cleveland for you?

I am going to use those strategies and I will get the saunders and reviews and rationales book. I am so paranoid. I started my med surg class last week and dont knwo where to begin studying. Last week all she did was syllabus but this week and actual lecture. Ahh!!!!!!

I feel the same way.. I am in my third semester of nursing school and the only reason I am replying is because I have 2 weeks off. So, far nursing school has been on stress!!!!!!....Only nursing students can feel what we go through....because it is hard....as semesters pass and you get deeper into the courses I am sure you will like it..hope this helps....also I work with an RN and she says she hated nursing school and wont go back but loves her job as a RN.

Study a lot.... Don't procatinate with studying...only one class is the hardest which is physio....let me know what book you are usig for physio.. I can sell u mine it's like new.....

DontWorry about age there are all types I think the oldest was like late 60s.......and youngest 20...

CONGRATZZZ!!! to those that got accepted. I can remember when I was in this thread, reading every single detial and getting all the information I can about the NOVA program while waiting for my acceptance letter. I am very happy to say I just finished 1st semester thursday and am an official 2nd semester student at NOVA. I have two weeks off and will take advantage of it because like the other young ladies said, once you start the program its study study study!!!. Allnurses helped me a lot so if you guys can ask, or pm me anything? I want to help you all just like allnurses helped me.. :):):):)
