  1. The 2nd interview never happened. They called in the morning and told me not to come in. It was my 1st interview but I wasn't upset I was kind of relieved. I felt I wouldn't be happy there. So I am still looking, I actually am going to volunteer at a clinic and I started looking at local urgent care centers. I thought that would be an interesting job that I may enjoy. Just trying to stay positive!
  2. I had my very 1st interview last Friday and understand the exhaustion part . I was there interviewing for an 1hour and 15 minutes. This was at an LTC facility for a 7am to 7pm weekend shift. The last question was " What would you do if it was 6pm and you didn't get any procedures done?" I said "Well I guess I would have to stay over time and finish and then really give thought to how I need to change things to make sure I get all my work done." She said that what I should do is get in touch with the manager that stays on the other floor and ask her what I should do. When I got home the Ibuprophen was calling me. I am have a 2nd interview tomorrow.
  3. I have my 1st interview today and it is at a LTC facility also. Good luck on your interview! My position is for every weekend 7am to 7pm it is a tough schedule, but I'll take it!
  4. I was wondering if there is anybody who can tell me anything about this particular online Rn to BSN program. I did some research on there website but still have many questions. Here are just a few: Were they easy to work with? How long were the classes? Did you get alot of support from professor's? Would you recommend this program? Did you like or dislike? Thanks for any info that you might have.
  5. Thanks so much to both of you for your replies. I haven't applied for a job in over 10 years and just started applying as a new grad at the end of September. I will probably call a few places to follow up. Thanks for the advice!!! It is so frustrating out there!
  6. How long does it usually take for someone to hear back from a nurse recruiter for a job after applying? After a few weeks of not hearing anything should I just give up on them?
  7. During orientation are you there full time? Are they ever flexible about when you can come such as days or nights? I am in the process of starting to look for a job so I was curious of how the orientation process works.
  8. It actually worked!!! I thought for sure that I failed taking the NCLEX on Wednesday. I went home and tried the PVT and it came up with the good pop up. Then I tried it again this morning and the good pop up came up again. It gave me hope and then a little later I went on the PA state board website and it gave me my license number!!! Good luck to everyone that still needs to take it or is waiting for results to come back.
  9. I think its a great idea. It seems that alot of Grads are having a hard time finding jobs so having someone like you to help with perfecting resumes and job hunting would be of value.
  10. Anatomy and Physiology are tough classes, it takes alot of study time. Maybe you can take them in the summer then you can concentrate soley on just those classes.
  11. Do you think that they will require us to wear the uniform even though it is really a sim lab?
  12. According to the Sim LAb schedule posted under the nursing department it says that the first day of clinicals is 9/20. On 9/12 it is Sim lab.
  13. I ordered mine at the April orientation. I actually went to the Thorndale store a few weeks ago to see if it might be ready and to look at the stethescopes and shoes. They told me then that it was not ready but the order just came in so I should be expecting a call. Within the next day or so they called and I picked it up. Hopefully it won't take yours 3 months. I don't understand why it takes so long to get a standard uniform. I saw that the first clinical day is September 20th so you have a few weeks after school actually starts before you really need it. If you still don't have it by the time school starts talk to the instructor to see what can be done. I got 2 sets of pants and tops so if it comes down to it you can where my extra one till you get yours and I amsure other people might have an extra set too. I can't believe we start in a few weeks! I am getting a little nervous!
  14. Which Head To Toe did you go to? I start this fall too and I got my uniform last week at the Thorndale store. The sales people there were decent.
  15. My tetorifice shot hurt so bad for a few days. My injection site was swollen and it hurt with the slightest touch. There was a pretty noticable bump there for a few weeks too. I am glad you only have to get it every 10 years.
  16. Congrats! That is very exciting that you finished! It must be such a relief. I start NS this fall. I can't wait till I can post something similar! It seems far off though!
  17. No phone call, just a letter. Hope you find one waiting for you when you get home! Good luck!
  18. I am really happy for you! Congratulations! I know when I got my letter I went crazy! I am in Chester County evening. Its so exciting!
  19. Pandaluck, With a 91 for a NET score I would think that you are in! Are you in Main campus or Chester County? Did you ask for day or evening? I know waiting to find out is one of the hardest things to do. I wish you luck!
  20. I am taking Physiology in the spring too. I am also taking my Math for Nurses class. I already took Abnormal Psych it was an interesting and easy class, nothing like A & P! I still have to take Sociology, English II, Lifespan, and a SOC or Hum elective. These will be taken in the summer sessions. Congrats everyone! Still excited!
  21. Hi! It sounds like everyone is just as excited as I am! I got my letter last week from Deleware County Community College in PA. It was so nerve wracking waiting to see if you are excepted or not. What a relief. I wish everyone luck in doing their best in Nursing school. It will be a challenge but so worth it.
  22. Hi! I got my acceptance letter today! I am in the Chester County Evening/Weekend program. I am still in shock. I wasn't expecting to get a letter so soon! I am so excited to start!
