I just passed my PN boards 1-22-09 and I am considering an online RN program. (LONG STORY)....but heres the shorter version....I will be doing premed in college(bachelors in biology), but I am considering doing an RN program because the pay is higher than L.P.N's, even with a scholarhsip college is still expensive..so Im trying to look at all of options. Any suggestions will be great!

So I took the NCLEX today.Im so happy the test is over,I would be even happier if I found out that I passed lol :wink2: The computer shut off at 85 questions.. the minimum of questions ...thats good right? ***I HOPE I PASS***

I am also a nervous wreck.The only thing thats keeping me back is I might be having back surgery and I don't want to pick the date until I am sure. Either way I will be doing it now because of the deadline of the ATT. I also have the prentice hall book, I think I will be getting the Saunders book too. GOOD LUCK

I wish my classmates and I had a graduation.The uniform was HUGE issue.... some girls said "oh i want to wear a white dress" and the other half (including me) wanted to do it in the traditional way. Different drama caused us not to have a graduation.... I was heart broken. I worked hard for two years and I did not get the graduation I deserved. So my mom ended having a plaque made in my honor me graduating.

I remember the night before the first day of clincals i was SOO excited, but SOO flustered...ironing my uniform....making sure there were no stains...making sure my shoes were spotless(I can go on forever). I was actually thrown right in lol sure my teacher says "just observe" but when the nurses ask for some help you get right in there and help out.

I agree, apply and see what happens .

I think the toughest part of being a student nurse is having to prepare for the NCLEX lol Seriously I think it is having the confidence to know you are making the right decision and not second guessing oneself.

Does it really matter what book you study from?

chevyv- brings up a good point. Keeping your eyes on the prize is what keep me going. My nursing school was actually high school/nursing school. During my high school years i was in two car accidents(one life changing). A couple weeks after the first car accident I was scheduled to take a state test, that test deteremined my accpetance into the program. I was suffering from whipplash pain. I requested ice to numb the pain while working out the problems. I found that spring I passed. The other car accident was biggest obstacle I had overcome in my life. It was the end of my junior year and I was a year into nursing....I was doing great.... but again I found myself in another car accident. I was told I should finish off my senior year at home because of the pain I was in. I didn't . I worked hard to finish off the year while i had pretending I was ok.My teacher knew I wasn't and she did everything she could to help me. I ended up graduating number one in my class. As of right now I am not even sure I can work as a nurse.... I recently found out I have a cervical and thoracic herniations and about five more injured discs.

I think it is inappropriate. Professionalism needs to be maintained while in school. Some may perceive your relationship with the instrutor as bias since none of the other students have that type of relationship with the instructor.

My nursing school was actually high school and nursing school. I LOVED NURSING FROM THE BEGINING TO THE END. Sure there were alot of speed bump but I wouldn't change it for the world. My favorite part of nursing is patient care and I found that out immediately after starting clinicals. I have some of my best and worst memories in that class:) Now it's time for the dreaded NCLEX..........
