My RN venture ended today.
Hopefull2009, I'm not going to beat a dead horse and say what you probably already know or think. However, I agree with Eric totally when he said, "Call your prof, camp out on the dean's lawn, do what you gotta do to make this work". Don't give up! You have worked to hard and come this far. Good Luck!

pinning blues
I also think that's a great idea. You're classmates didn't bother to help so, their input really shouldn't matter. It may sound harsh, but that's the reality of it. You might want to get the input of the other 4 that were helpful.

Help with a math question presented on my quiz
Thanks...I must continue to work on my conversions!

Net Test
I used the NET guide when I was entering nursing school. And, honestly, if you do the two sample tests then you are looking at the test. The test is identical to the sample ones in the book. If you are comfortable with them...than you should be fine. Never really knew about whether or not answering a question work for you or aganist you. Good Luck!

Help with a math question presented on my quiz
Hello All, I took my quiz last Thursday and til today haven't been able to figure out the answer to the question below, so I'm hoping someone can assist me. A child is given 12mL of medication 4 times a day. The bottle hold 16oz. How many days can you give the child the medication. A.40 B.30 C.20 D.10 My guess was C. I know you must convert the mL to oz and then divide...right?

Am I crazy?? Taking 15 credits??
That's a hefty load, but anything is do-able if you stay focused. Unfortunately, I don't know of any sites to refer you to, but I'm sure our Daytonite, will be to the rescue to help you there. Good Luck in your studies!

Can anyone suggest test prep for "nursing process?"
Daytonite, You are HEAVEN sent!! I really enjoy reading your replies. I'm new to this site and in my first year of nursing school. I LOVE your analogy of the nursing process! I REALLY get it now! I believe GOD has sent you to us "nursing students" to guide us along the way to becoming competent nurses. Thanks for sharing all your wisdom and knowledge!

how did you handle it?
dani girl gave some good suggestion. I'm not married, but my boyfriend and I broke up after 8 yrs in June and in July I received my acceptance letter into the program. As bad as I wanted to make it work, I totally took some time to think about things. I thought, maybe this is a sign from GOD that it was supposed to be this way. I took the remainder of the summer to get my mind, body and soul together for the up coming challenge I was about to partake in. I sent a very nice email to all of my supporters who knew my long struggle to get into the program. I often had talks with my 15 y/o son regarding the importance of me staying focus and as well as him well in school. My son attends a broading school and they study every night from 7:30-9:30 so, I make those time my study times as well (however, I study earlier and sometime later than that) to be able to talk when he calls regarding his day. I say all this to say, I feel that you must have a plan. I found that writing it down and post it up, you are more than likely to stick to it. For your husband, I'm finding out that men are big babies and requires a lot of attention. So, make sure you plan some time for your hubby too.
