  1. I see people at their very best & I see people at their very worst. I am constantly amazed at the strength of the human spirit and the outcome it plays on a persons health. My patients and their famlies teach me so much. It is not a easy job by any means but, I love it and cannot imagine doing anything else.
  2. I had a doggy door put into my back door. It has made so easier. Now I do not have to worry when bad weather hits ect.
  3. Great hospital - with great patients and employees
  4. My unit manager and charge nurse let me arrange my schedule around taking my husband to his chemo appointments. My unit supports me so much emotionally we really are like a family.
  5. I have two years experience and make 17.60 at a hospital in Houston, TX.
  6. I just switched from night shift to days. On nights I did not wear make-up. On day shift I have started wearing light make-up and small earrings. I have long hair so I usually wear it up in pony tail or clipped back out of the way. I just try to look professional and not "made up" with alot of make-up and heavy perfume.
  7. My hospital only has 12hr shifts 7 to 7.
  8. 32 - I wish I would have had the self confience to start earlier in life.
  9. I work at Hermann Memorial Southest and I am very happy there. The benifits are great and they start from day one.
  10. I am praying for you Fran. You are such a bright light.
  11. I worked full-time and have three kids. It can be done but, I would not recomended it. It was the hardest year of my life. If there is anyway possible - try to only work part-time. It is possible!! :balloons: Good Luck!
  12. We are having a breakfast served to us my DON and management. We have having some people come and set up at our facilty to give each of us a massage. They are having drawing for prizes and gift's thru out the week. My DON gave a cute pair of socks that says "I Love nursing" on them and a personalized note pad and a really sweet card. I'm a new nurse and this is my first "Nurse's week" - I'm really loving it :)
  13. I work 2-10 and weekends - no shift differential here!
  14. :chuckle Lol Very cute Fran. So glad to have you back.
