What do you love about working in oncology?
I see people at their very best & I see people at their very worst. I am constantly amazed at the strength of the human spirit and the outcome it plays on a persons health. My patients and their famlies teach me so much. It is not a easy job by any means but, I love it and cannot imagine doing anything else.

Appearance at work
I just switched from night shift to days. On nights I did not wear make-up. On day shift I have started wearing light make-up and small earrings. I have long hair so I usually wear it up in pony tail or clipped back out of the way. I just try to look professional and not "made up" with alot of make-up and heavy perfume.

Are there any LPN/RN students/grads. who worked full time
I worked full-time and have three kids. It can be done but, I would not recomended it. It was the hardest year of my life. If there is anyway possible - try to only work part-time. It is possible!! :balloons: Good Luck!

What Exciting Thing is Your Management Doing For 'Nurses Week'???
We are having a breakfast served to us my DON and management. We have having some people come and set up at our facilty to give each of us a massage. They are having drawing for prizes and gift's thru out the week. My DON gave a cute pair of socks that says "I Love nursing" on them and a personalized note pad and a really sweet card.
