NCP is also good school and i'm only 3 miles away but i didn't enrol over there because they don't have a financing loan like Saliemae, they only have private loan that you have to pay within a year while you are in school. We have a Nursing Day in our school and 4 representative from different well known University are there for question about transfer opportunity and, somebody ask about accelerated program since it only last a year. they give some overview on how the program work and what is the requirement which they dont recommend it to anybody especially if you have a family to feed since it very fast and stressful. they even say you're not gonna have a Life with this program. Nat
  8. That's true, they are inexpensive but the waiting list is almost a year after you finished your pre-req which mostly accept on a limited number of student around 60 or less/semester. Nat

  13. If you will look on the forum of LVN/LPN alot of them they are frustrated too and when they found out the big help for them to get into Nursing program is through LVN/LPN they pursue it(that where i'm going this May), it's not easy but workable. my classmates last year got accepted easily in CC because she is a license LVN and she's graduating this year after only a year on the program. Nat

Ann, I am also from the bayarea too and i'm thinking the same bridge that you are right now, i already inquired on Gurnick academy in san mateo and hopefully it will work-out.I' on the second year of taking my pre-req now, It's not that i don't have a patient of taking all the pre-req but, i think it will be beneficial for me to be LVN/LPN since i don't have any medical background. I will say that go for it. Nat:typing
