Oh and finding a job after is not a problem for most of us. We just took our last final last night and those who are actively job searching have already been offered positions. I currently have gotten 2 hospital offers and 1 dermatology practice offer.

I'm in the same area you are in. You really just need to get yourself out there. Sometimes hospitals like that you are a blank slate. try these: Pomona Valley Hospital San Antonio Community Hospital Loma Linda Hospital Or you could always go with Orange County.. not to far from us if you use the canyon (9 miles). I see myself in you. I never killed myself over trying to get A's. I did sometimes, and most of the time I got B's, and I was completely content with that. Nursing school is already hard as it is, and self added stress isn't needed. So prepare yourself as much as you can and go for it.

Congrats! I'm graduating from my RN program on Saturday and my class went out to celebrate last night after our last final... So, yes. I have a hang over.

Remember that we all had to go through it, and we made it. So just relax, take a breather, and have confidence in yourself. And really try to get your hands dirty. Be the first to volunteer for anything, even if the task might seem daunting, you will learn that way.

Well said, Cali. The Mount has a wonderful program designed for people who work during the week and have families. Class is only 1-2 times a week depending on how far you are in the program and you still finish in 2 years. For many people this is the most practical choice because of the economic situation. Not everyone can drop their job and go to a 4-5 day a week program like most community colleges. Besides, if you transfer in with higher than a 3.0- there are a few scholarships that are automatically given by the school. Already cutting cost in half. Not ridiculous...practical.

There isn't a wait for everyone. My sister-in-law took all her pre-reqs there and got in the ADN program the following semester. She loves it and has made life long friends. She says the instructors are very encouraging as well.

Same here! I really hated ATI and thought it was a complete waste of time. I thought it made the teachers feel better about themselves mostly because if there were low scores on the proctored tests, my school just made us turn in a non proctored with a passing score. There was no remediation....drove me nuts. But! now we're taking the 3 hour predictor and it shows the strengths and weaknesses that you have... it's great. the downside.... it's 3 hours!! but it's good to see where you stand. I always hate when everyone is finished and dying to know everyone else's score.

I am graduating from the Mount in a few weeks and I pretty much recruited all of my friends into the school. One of them got into the advance track and did not have the relig. study course yet. so it is possible. Also, two of my friends scored 72-78 on the same test you took and they got in just fine. There is hope!

The advanced route for ADN at Doheny campus for the Mount is about 26k. They are very generous helping out with financial aid and there are plenty of scholarships and grants you can apply for.
