NEW LPN....needs help with Job questions
I would definitely recommend going in person. I sent my resume and applications to various places via the internet and I would never hear anything back, EVER. One LTC facility that I worked at in the past, hired me on the spot when I went in to fill out the app. Go check out some facilities in person and you will find something, for sure!! Good Luck!!

NEW LPN Can't find a JOB
I know you said you didn't want LTC, but maybe you should give it a shot. Most LTC welcome new grads and pay better than other facilities.

LPN/LVN rate of pay in your area.
$24.69/hr at my LTC facility in NY.

Math Test Part of Job Interview
I actually just went for a job interview last week. They gave me a 50 question test with about 5 calculations on it. The test was multiple choice, it was extremely easy. The calculations were very basic, no reconstitution probs or anything like that. Good luck!

Took the NCLEX PN Today!!!!
hi everyone, I took the nclex yesterday and the computer shut off at 85. I'm hoping based on the previous posters that this is a good thing. I had a lot of SATA, about 15 (i lost count), 3 math problems, lots of prioritizing, and a bunch of pharm. I hope I passed!!

The Net ...any Advice ?
When I took the NET there was only math and reading comprehension. I would recommend buying a some sort of review of basic math book. The reading portion of the test was much harder IMO. We only had 30 minutes to complete it. The one good thing is that there is no nursing stuff on the NET. HTH Good luck!! :wink2:

Help! I'm having serious difficulty adjusting to LPN school
Wow. Everything that you described sounds just like the LPN program that I was enrolled in, except that the average age was about 35 lol. I mean these women were extremely catty, always whispering and starting drama. Ugh, I hated it! We also had some rules, such as no cell phones in class, but they only enforced when they felt like it. Maybe you can alert administration as to the unfair treatment. As for you, Keep your head up and don't let anyone bring you down. Just 'keep your eyes on the prize' so to speak. Envision yourself graduating from your program and walking outta there with your head held high. Good luck! :)

Nursing Entrance Test ( Net)
hi scrape! i took the net in order to gain acceptance into my lpn program. there is no 'nursing stuff' on the test at all. it is just basic math (decimals, fractions, mult, div, etc) and reading comprehension. i must say the reading portion was much more difficult than the math only because they allowed us 30 minutes to complete it, which was not nearly enough time to finish. whatever you do: don't leave anything blank!! good luck!!
