  1. I will be going to UM for fall 2010 also.
  2. I think you are ready to take the test.
  3. I studied for about 6 weeks. 2-3 hours per day for 5 days a week mostly doing questions.
  4. I say the earliest date available.
  5. I used the kaplan review course and saunders book. I passed the nclex with 75 questions on the first try. I would say try not to use too many books because you may get overwhelmed. I had a friend that used kaplan, saunders and 2 other books and failed. when she did it again the second time she used kaplan only and passed with 75 questions.
  6. According to Kaplan if I am not mistaken if you are scoring 60% or more you are more likely to pass so I say do some more practice questions and try to get an overall average of 60% or greater.
  7. While I was in my last semester of school I used the saunders book. After graduation I used Kaplan for 4 weeks and passed. After doing kaplan however, I realized the saunders book was more knowledge based questions than critical thinking so I mostly used it for specific topic review like endocrine, cardiac etc.
  8. Hi Guys. I too will be attending the conference in Miami. Hope to see you all there.:wink2:
  9. NotNursy can you tell me some of the experiences your CRNA army reserves colleagues have told you about. Good and bad. Were they previoously in the military?
  10. Did anyone currently do the strap program for the reserves to pay for school whether bsn or msn. If so, what are your one weekends a months like
  11. Hi All. I am considering my options for financial assistance while attendind CRNA school next year and came across some previous post on the military. I am mostly looking at the army/ navy reserve program where they do not pay for your tuition however, they give you a monthly stipen of 1900/ month while in school and you owe them a committment when you are finished. Is there anyone that has any feedback on this option. I have already spoken to a recruiter however wanted more insight from someone who is currently in that program or who have already done it. Now that you are finished with school and working as a CRNA active reserve what is it like. How are your one weekend a month drill requirements. Is your current employer flexible with your weekend schedule. By the way. I have no previous military experience.
