Need some encouragement
Princessa, i can totally relate to your situation. i graduated may 09 and i too have yet to find a position. i put my job search on hold from about august to december because i was pregnant and had some complications. i resumed my job search again in January and have had no luck. i've only had 2 interviews! i ended up renewing my license at the end of march despite not working yet. but i have to believe that SOMEONE will eventually take a chance on me and hire me. i know it's hard to stay positive but we need to. don't give up your search! all the time, money, and effort we put into nursing school will eventually be rewarded!!!

scoring 68% on cram exam Cd
yes i did use exam cram. but i also used Saunders Comprehensive review and a Kaplan book as well. I think all three had questions similar to what is on the NCLEX. I think exam cram was a great review tool and would recommend it!! Good luck!!!

scoring 68% on cram exam Cd
beachbutterfly i averaged close to 68% on several tests and did just fine with NCLEX. i remember reading that you should be in the 70's but I passed on my first attempt. i think you will be fine. just take your time and read the question CAREFULLY!

Help!!! Did anyone take the test on a Friday?
i did try the "trick" this afternoon about 4 hours after i completed my test. I did get the "pop up" that they say is a positive thing to get and it wouldn't let me register but i left the test feeling like i failed it. i just have to wait and see what happens.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
i took my nclex-rn exam this morning and like some of the other posts have said i left in tears!!! i sat in my car wiping the tears feeling like a complete failure. i sat there thinking why i had spent two years in nursing school since there were so many questions on my test that i completely guessed on. even as i sit here right now i am just in a state of utter confusion at the test. i decided to to the "trick" and i did get the "pop up" so if nothing else it at least gave me a glimmer of hope that i just might have passed. i am leaving on vacation tomorrow morning and will be gone for 3 weeks. i'm debating if i should pay for my quick results cause if i do and find out i really did fail i will ruin my vacation. regardless of whether i pass or fail i have found some comfort in reading everyone's posts on here about their nclex-rn experience. thank you everyone! if i decide to pay for quick results i will post my results to see if the "trick" remains true!!!

Finding a Job!
VegasStudentNurse, I recently attended my state's (Michigan) student nurse convention in february and i visited a booth for a hospital in Reno, NV. She had some very good things to say and they hire new grads. if you are interested here's the link to the hospital. http://www.renown.org not sure if you have your heart set on Austin but thought I would pass along this info anyways.

Hertz?? review for NCLEX??
I didn't take the entire actual Hurst Review but I attended several individual sessions during my state convention and I found them to be excellent. They have a very "hands on" way of instructing on the patho that it really helps to answer the questions. Our school also uses the ATI and if i had a choice of which to use I would rather use the Hurst Review instead. I might just end up taking a Hurst Review myself anyways. Overall though based on the several sessions I attended I found them to be the best at helping me to understand the patho so that I could answer the questions correctly.

Anyone want some ATI books, free?
Don't know if you already decided about the books but I would also be willing to pay for postage/shipping as well. If you still haven't decided who to send these to I would love to take them. Thanks!

Pediatric Dosage Calculations
Thanks so much Daytonite. I was complicating the whole equation when I set it up. I was trying to use the 4.2ml that was listed in the problem when I didn't even need it at all. Thanks again!
