  1. I was confident I passed after I took it. 75 questions, 1 hr and 15 minutes. I wasn't arrogant or cocky about it (not that you are either) and realistic that I could have failed just as well, but I was calm and confident.
  2. I started a group on Facebook. Just search frontier class 149 :)
  3. I looked at both programs and couldn't justify the almost double in cost. Also, the GRE is not required for frontier but is for Georgetown.
  4. I submitted mine first week in January and heard back Feb. 22nd.
  5. I'm flying in as well. Too long of a drive by myself. It will be my first flight by myself though í ½í¸
  6. Hi everyone! I was recently accepted to Frontier's midwife program and wanted to see who else I will be meeting in May! :)
  7. I am so excited for all of you!! Congrats!!
  8. Best of luck to you!! ❤️
  9. ahh this makes me super nervous... I have to get into 149 or will have to retake Statistics. Do they give you reasons as to why you were wait listed?
  10. It was right before the deadline. I submitted it January 2nd, they received it and notified me, then sent me an e-mail about being in the 148 class. Maybe because the due date for 149 and 148 were literally a week apart? I hope I get in first time and not waitlisted or not accepted. I am in Jacksonville, FL, so all the way on the east coast.
  11. Ahh that's nerve racking. They offered to push me up to 148 and I asked to stick with 149 so I could start in the summer. So if they pushed the date back, that is that much longer to wait to find out if I got in. Where is everyone from?
  12. I keep checking mine. I hope my packet gets to them in time!!
  13. Hopefully we are in the same class!! :)
  14. I applied for Class 149 (to start in May). I sent my portfolio in on Monday and am super nervous. Seeing as you ladies will find out before me, I am gonna jump on your little post, if thats okay :). I put mine in APA as best I could, but I just put it at the top (instead of a title page), seeing as the said to label everything.
  15. Can someone break down the first semester for me? I am trying to figure out if working part time/PRN will be doable still. Thank you! =)
  16. To help you guys pass the time, is there anyway someone who applied to the midwifery program answer a few questions for me? I e-mailed the track coordinator but wanted an applicants perspective. I just decided on Friday to attempt to go back next fall! Thanks =)
  17. Thank you!! :)
  18. Hi! I recently started in my hospital's MICU and we see EVERYTHING. I want to delve in and understand everything as much as I possibly can, but also want to study at home. Are there any books/websites/blogs you seasoned ICU nurses recommend? I have been a nurse for 4 yrs, from med/surg to progressive. Any advice is helpful, even if you want to just throw random facts at me =) Thanks!
  19. Email and phone calls work if you haven't met someone in person yet. Since you know both managers, stay after work and talk to your direct manager and go by the other hospital and request to talk to the other. Prayers for you
  20. And I was just getting aggravated with Mrs. Jones about her insisting there was a dog walking around in scrubs. I tried to reorient her and even thought she might have been talking about you.
  21. You have to have your associates in something in order to do a bsn program. Not sure if you have to have it in nursing, but the program I did only let me do it after I had my AA.
  22. UWF and UCF offer online programs. Not sure where you are from, but those are the cheaper ones in Florida.
  23. I'm 23 and the youngest person on my floor, whether it be the ICU or the floor across the hall. I was the third youngest in my nursing class, with almost everyone being late 20's to mid 40's. I find that I learn the most from the nurses in their 30's. They are still young enough to relate to me but have been a nurse long enough to teach me a few tricks.
  24. We empty ours into the toilet. That's like placing a full foley into a trash bag.
