Obligatory "finished NCLEX in 75q" post
I was confident I passed after I took it. 75 questions, 1 hr and 15 minutes. I wasn't arrogant or cocky about it (not that you are either) and realistic that I could have failed just as well, but I was calm and confident.

Frontier and Georgetown CNM/WHNP
I looked at both programs and couldn't justify the almost double in cost. Also, the GRE is not required for frontier but is for Georgetown.

Frontier: Class 148
ahh this makes me super nervous... I have to get into 149 or will have to retake Statistics. Do they give you reasons as to why you were wait listed?

Frontier: Class 148
It was right before the deadline. I submitted it January 2nd, they received it and notified me, then sent me an e-mail about being in the 148 class. Maybe because the due date for 149 and 148 were literally a week apart? I hope I get in first time and not waitlisted or not accepted. I am in Jacksonville, FL, so all the way on the east coast.

Frontier: Class 148
Ahh that's nerve racking. They offered to push me up to 148 and I asked to stick with 149 so I could start in the summer. So if they pushed the date back, that is that much longer to wait to find out if I got in. Where is everyone from?

Frontier: Class 148
I applied for Class 149 (to start in May). I sent my portfolio in on Monday and am super nervous. Seeing as you ladies will find out before me, I am gonna jump on your little post, if thats okay :). I put mine in APA as best I could, but I just put it at the top (instead of a title page), seeing as the said to label everything.

Frontier University
Can someone break down the first semester for me? I am trying to figure out if working part time/PRN will be doable still. Thank you! =)

UF BSN-DNP 2014
To help you guys pass the time, is there anyway someone who applied to the midwifery program answer a few questions for me? I e-mailed the track coordinator but wanted an applicants perspective. I just decided on Friday to attempt to go back next fall! Thanks =)

Best Resources for a Transfer
Hi! I recently started in my hospital's MICU and we see EVERYTHING. I want to delve in and understand everything as much as I possibly can, but also want to study at home. Are there any books/websites/blogs you seasoned ICU nurses recommend? I have been a nurse for 4 yrs, from med/surg to progressive. Any advice is helpful, even if you want to just throw random facts at me =) Thanks!

I feel depressed...
Email and phone calls work if you haven't met someone in person yet. Since you know both managers, stay after work and talk to your direct manager and go by the other hospital and request to talk to the other. Prayers for you

1st Nursing Cartoon caption contest - win $100
And I was just getting aggravated with Mrs. Jones about her insisting there was a dog walking around in scrubs. I tried to reorient her and even thought she might have been talking about you.

Online BSN not requiring associates or diploma
You have to have your associates in something in order to do a bsn program. Not sure if you have to have it in nursing, but the program I did only let me do it after I had my AA.

Which online RN to BSN program, while working FT?
UWF and UCF offer online programs. Not sure where you are from, but those are the cheaper ones in Florida.

Nurse's getting younger
I'm 23 and the youngest person on my floor, whether it be the ICU or the floor across the hall. I was the third youngest in my nursing class, with almost everyone being late 20's to mid 40's. I find that I learn the most from the nurses in their 30's. They are still young enough to relate to me but have been a nurse long enough to teach me a few tricks.

Rectal Cath. Foley bag disposal?
We empty ours into the toilet. That's like placing a full foley into a trash bag.
